I am glad to see I am not the only one who lives like this :D

I will let P tell you all about the dog thing - I have not spoken to her since she went just over a week ago, so no it wasn't her I spoke to yesterday.

But it was someone who has been on this board for as long as I have, and has contributed to my debt free journey since the very beginning.

    :D

Hi Hypno...seems like you made the right desciscion. This debt busting is so tedious especially with the very high amounts we're tackling and the sheer amount of time that it takes.
All this credit crunch/recession stuff doesn't help matters either. It's so hard to switch off from it isn't it?....MSE is what takes up most of my time too.
Good luck with it as that is a challenge on it's own as you'll be so tempted to overpay and do all the other stuff you've been doing.

    Hello Hypno and all :hello:
I think you are being very wise Hypno. And I wish you well for this coming month. You seemed spread a little thin just recently. (what for eg happened to a cleaning lady upon your return to stock-broking?)

And your DS & DD need you more now, in their teens than they did when they were babies. Almost anyone can change a nappy, teenagers however have complex problems that only someone who loves them very much can deal with (IMHO;) )

Hi Hypno, glad to hear you are giving yourself a breather.

I made a very similar decision at the beginning of this month. I didn't like the way debt and money had overtaken my every waking thought, so I've relegated money to much lower in the hierarchy of things I give my time too. I've felt much happier as a result. Hope you do too.

  • Hi Hypno,

I don't go online over the weekend and you have another diary! Good to know that you are going to have some time for you, I seriously think that you need it.

I think its a great idea to have a mini break from it all - you've done amazingly well for the past however-many-months. x

Happy New Diary, not even 24 hours on you're on page three already! :D

We've taken a similar decision, after the non-DMP card is gone (£663 to go) then we are chilling out a bit and starting to save for a holiday, maybe we shouldn't but you've gotta live in those years before you get debt free not just survive.
