Hypno, I'm really pleased, I think thats one of the most sensible things I've ever seen you post. Now that you've freed up the soa and you're ahead of the £86 a day challenge, this really makes sense. Like beanielou, I've been a bit concerned - your energy has to come from somewhere, and giving yourself a more ordered environment must help with that.
Good one!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi Hypno... Sounds like a good/sensible idea. I brought up the cleaner thing on the other thread for this exact reason but I totally agree with your reasoning for not being able to get one yet.
However... I hope this doesn't come across wrong but although you have made the decision to give yourself a breather this month (quite rightly) what are you actually 'dropping' so you have more time? Your post still said you are doing the challenges/workshops/mystery shops etc and I assume still skiing and karate. So whats different? Sorry that is not meant to come across as critical AT ALL I just wonder where the time is coming from for you to be able to create this space and organisation at home?

Hypno you've saved 20k in less than a year that is incredible, just think of all the interest you are saving yourself right now on that 20k. You've worked incredibly hard over a long period of time, every one deserves a holiday (even an MSE one) once in a while so if having a rest from extra MSE stuff for a month is what you need, I think you've shown in a million ways on this forum you deserve it.
Now put you're feet up and have some OS hobnobsThen you can come back fighting once you've recharged your batteries.

Hi there. I decluttered my life a couple of months ago ( and still doing it a bit) Took me 3 days more or less to sort out DS's room lol but now that it's done my life is sooooo much easier. Today I even made the choice to go out as I didn't really have much housework to do. When it was a guddle I just flew from room to room , exhausting myself and being totally ineffective. DS keeps his room really good now and it only takes me about 10 mins a week to finish it off and put his ironing away. Huge difference. You go girl. You do the housework and I will start the debt busting again :rotfl: .5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
KM, what am I dropping......well, I am not yet entirely sure, but things like not taking on mystery shops that I am then rushing to fit in - if it fits in, or is somewhere that would be daft to turn down, like a fab meal out, or a free haircut, or a coffee drinking one, then it is fine, but some of them I don't enjoy, and have to work at being "natural" rather than an "obvious mystery shopper" and I get stressed about trying to fit them in at lunchtime, etc, so I would hope that I won't rush to accept them in the way that I have.
and sometimes I am spending so much time just trying to work out where the heck I will get the money for the next planned overpayment, that I don't actually get anything done! I seem to do a lot of going round in circles, so just trying to be more focused on what I NEED to do rather than what I WANT to do, will hopefully lead to the "wants" happening as a matter of course, rather than being forced at the expense of other stuff that also needs doing!
goodlife - no problem re the training info. In answer to your question, I am a stockbroker, but I still see my therapy clients from time to time......I had two years of doing the therapy full time, but the lure of my old career became too great eventually, so now the therapy is more of a "profitable hobby" than a career for me.
And don't worry, anyone, I can't see me stopping posting just yet.......:rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Oh yeah! I've been doing a bit of that myself, just getting clear of it now.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi Hypno - hope you don't mind if I lurk and see if your organisation and positivity rub off!0

hypno well done on the new choice i think you are totally right to do this just try and remember though to take some time for you... have that lunch break a time to reflect and prepare for the afternoon can make all the difference and deff helps with the stress gotta be better than trying to pretend your a mystery shopper in somewhere like ann summers (nothing wrong with ann summers just using it for an example). have the coffee and the biscuits sit with your feet up and re-energise not only your house and household but most importantly yourself will feel the benefit of some hypno time (i sounded like a rapper there ...its hypno time).....you are worth it after all ...will look forward to lurking and reading this one... take care0

Oh I see, that makes perfect sense Hypno. I hope you achieve it, its the very least you deserve x0

daphne - lurk away, and post too if you want to!
KC, I think a lot of us "long termers" are guilty of the same thing! Part of the DFW "job description" probably!!
El, are you saying that I wouldn't appear as a genuine shopper in ann summers............well, you are probably right :rotfl: good job I haven't been offered an assignment there then!!!
Since I have been home I have done 3 loads of washing, and even done some ironing!!
