Double Trouble - sorry, I'll sober up about it. Quotes in a post are made because you have the word "quote" surrounded by square brackets like this [ ] at the beginning and this [/ ] at the end of what ever it is you want to say. The forward slash is an important part of it.

What you did, with the slide thing, is that instead of having the word "quote" inside the brackets, you had the letters "html" inside. To see what I mean, press the "quote" button at the lower right hand side of this post. That will show you what I've done.

[html] and this is inside the letters "html" with lots of slideys lots of word in that don't mean much so I can demonstrate the thing[/html]

Thanks Karma giving it a test why does HTML come up when I press quote rather than quote I would have thought it would make more sense to have quote as the default? Or is it something I have done?

Not a clue there, Double Trouble - you could change it manually, if you want to quote, or maybe use the return button within the bit you're quoting. Don't think that latter will work, got no clue beyond the html stuff...

I've done no debtbusting today - needed to have a morning off the computer, so I've done all sorts of tidying and cleaning in the kitchen and the living room. Had to switch back on to send an email, so I'm just hopping on here a bit, sorting through Martin's email and looking at the threads for a little.

Good evening!

I had a lovely "late birthday" lunch with a friend today - then just as we were finishing, I got a call asking if I could "fit in" a mystery shop - as it is to my fave coffee shop I accepted, of course, so got a free latte to take back to the office, and have a lovely feta salad to have for my lunch tomorrow :T Again, I ask you - who says there is no such thing as a free lunch

I have been for a short run while the children were at karate, got home and input the m/s and have now collapsed in a crumpled heap on the sofa

you need to copy the chosen text, high light it and select the symbol that looks like a text bubble to the left of hash sign
dont know how your getting the scroll bar on it as well
but this will give you the box your looking for
