I am to be referred back to the respiratory clinic but goodness knows how long that will take!
There have been some benefits - my double vision is not as bad, I am not choking so much and other minor improvements but not as much as I had hoped for!! It should have kicked in by now so not expecting it to improve much more. C'est la vie - will just have to get on with it!
You're so bloomin positive Tootles Sorry it hasn't been better for you babes. I think I'd be inclined to call the respiratory clinic, tho, speak to your consultant's secretary. Ask if there's any chance of a quick appointment.... or at the very least to keep you on stand-by for any cancellations that might come up??? Gotta be worth a tryMMSSB Club Founder Member

Hello.
Two loads of washing done and DH doing the ironing. Had to shout at poppy earlier and feel guilty. She keeps jumping in our older dogs bed to cuddle up but older dog doesn't want to share and jumps out. After about a dozen times I shouted 'no poppy' and she went back to her bed and looked sad. I didn't relent though....she needs to know where her bed is. I just feel bad lol. Her pulling on the lead has got a lot worse but that's her only problem so i've looked online at the best way to help her with that and have a few ideas to try tomorrow. Still waiting to hear back from the classes to see when she can start. Ok, i'm aware i'm getting boring about her:rotfl: . I'll go and be quiet in the corner!!!

You might want to check the small print, but I'm pretty sure that's not in the contract that came with the kids!
Mudbath - we've always trained our dogs to walk to heel, and not done leads much - once they can walk to heel properly they then do this when they're on the lead.
Toots - make sure you look after yourself. You've got a lot to contend with, and you push yourself pretty hard!
I'm pleased to see I'm not the only one who gets withdrawal symptoms from the thread when I'm at work!
Finally called the building society this morning (seeing as I was already running VERY late!), told them what I wanted, got the details sorted out and asked them to send it through... they then asked if I wanted a quote for the lower rate with a booking fee of £999... so I asked them to do the calculation and see what they thought... but they can't do this as it would be construed as advice. So I told them that the £999 would make me a loss, as the lower interest rate would save me less than £150 over the term of the fix! Surely they aren't allowed to even suggest that you consider it in those cirumstances? There are people around who wouldn't necessarily be able to work it out (especially if the numbers involved are larger and the difference smaller).
Anyway, I have cleaned my hob & oven, tidied HALF the table (will have to do the rest tomorrow, otherwise there won't be room for everyone to eat on Wednesday!), and am debating doing some ironing/paperwork before going to bed.
And I've emailed someone to arrange for my chimney to be inspected for an intermittent leak (and hopefully fixed), the old gas flue removed, the boiler exhaust guard to be fixed and the water outlet lagged, kitchen to be tiled, cold water tank to be raised, utility to be gutted, wall partially removed, floor relaid, walls & ceiling lined and insulated, electrics & plumbing resited, white goods reinstalled and new kitchen units installed... Now I just have to order the floortiles, worksurface and sink and make my mind up about the units... Problem is, once I have a date, the garage will need clearing out before I can pack up the utility room... and I won't be able to do any washing for a week or two!!!0 -
Oh, Oh me too, please. I don't live there myself but the family lives not far from Kaat. I could go stay over with someone (depending when you decide)
We used to go through Thurgoland on the way to see my grandparents
So Valli, Kaat, Polka possibly Michelle and MeNeed to know if people prefer a daytime or evening get together. Meadowhell is an easy place for all to find and there are places to eat/drink/shop all close by. Let me know your thoughts, I have already arranged to catch up with a couple of oter friends that week time slots are disappearing quickly! :rotfl:

Toots - Sarahshattered has good advice there - if you've been before they might 'bump' you up? When I was under the rheumatologist (ooh err missus) they kept me on the list with a once a year appointment in case of emergencies. Trouble is I (and others I have found out) are somewhat stressed and if I get stressed I could flare up - think that might be why I felt so rough at the weekend...left hand and hip are letting me know they are there - just a slight grumble but nevertheless was enough to make me reach for the ibuprofen. Thank goodnes I am only part time...I am dog tired right now though. But not tired of doggy tales Mudbath - bore away - your posts are making me smile...
Thanks for taking my post in the very light hearted way it was meant Toots - I am sure you are putting up with a heck of a lot with little complaint - take care hun.
PMSL at chinese sick leave!
Thurgoland - doesn't compute (anywhere near legoland?)
AnWs Mum I like the sound of that...Friday is least good but really doesn't matter...I'll be the leggy gorgeous but intelligent looking blonde...(think Nikki Hambleton-Jones) NOT!

Valli - if you've been to rheumatology you should know better than to continue with your HHWD and HHCE sessions! You should replace them with tofu and spinach IMMEDIATELY!!!0

Evening everyone,
Had a really nice day today but I'm shattered now - did supply in Year 6, and luckily there wasn't much marking - Yay! Then met a lovely lady from the Internet who I hadn't met before for lunch, and the weather was perfect too, so we sat out in the sunshine before going for a coffee and a really nice natter. Then I got home and went straight back out again to go swimming with my Mum at the gym, came home, went up to see pregnant neighbour and give her my lifespan development book which shows the photos of the baby in the womb and tells you what it can do at all the different stages of the pregnancy. Persuaded OH to do the dinner as I told him I was tired, and have just caught up with 6 pages of the thread - gosh you lot can talk!
I'm off to watch Hells kitchen USA in a second, but think I may take my tea to bed with me and have an early night. Have a full day of supply in Year 3 tomorrow (nice class so sort of looking forward to it) and with any luck, if I have the energy, I'm going to go swimming again tomorrow afternoon after school. I'm determined that I will have slimmed down for November when we go on holiday, as otherwise, I won't fit into any of my holiday clothes, and obviously the shops won't be selling summer clothes in November.
Well OH has just called to say that the program's started, so best be off - will rush round the kitchen afterwards.
Night all,
