    Hi imcognito,

Don't forget that being in debt is a nightmare, and having to consider bankruptcy is even worse. It takes a truly awful toll on relationships, and you have to allow each other some "slack" or the whole thing will just drive you apart.

I've been posting on here for over two years and I've seen too many relationships irrevocably damaged by the stress and heartache.

Try and agree some spending restrictions between yourselves. Set a budget and agree to each of you keeping a spending diary, but please don't let this come between you.

And there is the indisputable fact that you gals are almost always mentally stronger than us poor feeble guys.;) :D

    Regards

thanks I forget he is just a man!! LOL!!! I just not sure he realises how serious this is, just maybe blocking it out. I think because I have said we wont (I hope) lose the house then that is his main worry out of the way...

Perhaps if it was him he would get message! :/ Lets hope it doesnt come to that, and we can work at paying his debt off over the next 2 years.... I wonder what a good budget is?? I was going to keep my Child Benefit Monay and use that for the kids treats (soft play and a happy meal once a week heehee!! and the leftover for me :) Then when we get more for baby 3 pay that to his debts. Maybe whatever I have left after paying for kids stuff he can have the same to buy beer and sky sports! ?? As long as he has a beer and football on he is a happy chappy

He has had to go into work now, which will bring in a few hundred ££££ so I really shouldnt moan should I?

so I am going to make a cup of tea and eat a bar of Galaxy (he bought it!!! :D ) then go to bed and read my book.

Thanks for making me see sense and not go off on one at him, he dont deserve this. Half of his debt (25K) was mine anyway that he consolidated, had he not done that it would be in this BR so I suppose I should let up a bit.. and he is going to pay my car

When you have gone bankrupt and things are sorted with you go over to the Debtfreewannabe board and get their advice on dealing with your DH's debt. With a their help you will soon be able to get rid of the outstanding debt.

    Hi!!

    New Day New Question! :D

Have noticed a couple of posts where people have said the OR will ask for 2 years of paperwork?? Is that right?? I dont have it?

At MOST I have a year? Most of my bills are online and a lot once I have checked they are correct I just get FIL to shred as I dont have storage space for years of bills. When we moved here he got rid of most stuff so I think I only have stuff since last August at the earliest. Tho I think I might have loan agreement somewhere

    Willt his be a problem?

    Thanks!

The OR can go back as far as 5yrs (although its not common unless you've been very naughty!) give the OR what you have anything missing they can easily source themselves so dont worry too much about it
