It's the end of my month next Wednesday - but am currently over by around £8.50 - so will probably be around £10 over by then! Am fairly pleased really as it's been a 5 week month and I only spent the same as I used to spend in a typical 4 week month!
Next month's target will be £360 x20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Hi All
I'm just back from hoilday and can't belive the number of posts on this thread. I'd like to declare £164.24 for the month. It's been a bit of a funy month though since I was away on holiday for one week and staying away from home for a course I am doing.
November should be more conventional - although OH is going to Denmark with his work so i'm eating at my mothers for a few days next week.
I am enjoying cooking things from scratch and have gotten loads of ideas from this site. I've already planned my meals for the next month - I did it while I was on hoilday! OH thinks I've gone mad. He had to eat his words though when, due to GC and petrol savings I had £70 to transfer into our (currently very small) emergency savings fund.

Hi everyone
Hope you're all having a good evening. I would like to declare £ 35.41 spend for the month. That's £5.41 over, but I am not upset as I've managed to prepare and freeze 25 meals for next month and bought some cleaning products too for next month. I'll just have to cook veges to add to those meals.
At the moment things are easy as I had surgery to my mouth yesterday and have a mouth full of stitches so have to live on mashed potato, scrambled eggs and yoghurt for the next week so suppose at least it'll save me eating to much or using up my prepared meals lol.
Mrs M I would like to pledge £25.00 for November as it's a 4 and a half week month. I already spent £16.03 today on some flours and bits for baking Gluten and Wheat free bread etc, just finished baking my second loaf of brown bread today, so I can slice and freeze both, should only need milk and fruit for the rest of the month.
Well done everyone, and good luck for the new challenge. My new month runs from 24 October to 24th November.
Off to update my signature, sorry bout the essay lol.
Cheers
Casper

Hanging my head in shame that I have been AWOL since June. Can I blame going on holiday and then unending tiredness? No, didn't think so. Please can I come back? We've not been too bad but really trying to tighten purse strings as maternity leave starts on Christmas Eve so need all the help we can get! If I'm allowed back
please can you put me down for £150 for November. We start today as it's payday.

Hello Everyone,
I've now finished for the month of Oct, Nov now started. We didn't quite stay within budget - our aim was 190, but we ended up spending 205. But, setting up a meal plan for the month was really helpful and although we did overspend a bit, we also ate out ALOT LESS because we knew what the meals were for the week and knew we had all the groceries we needed in the cupboard to make them. We also planned to make simple, quick meals on days we knew we'd be busy, and this helped too. Anyhow, off to plan for November! Hope you all hit your goals this month!Debt at highest 01/01/2008- $79,385.32

I am over with my budget, spent £316 so far. I shall endeavour to rein it in next month.
There was enough vegetable curry left over for myself and youngest son to have for tea and I cooked a chicken and served it with potato wedges and curly Kale for DH and older son. Loads of chicken left and some wedges and kale as well. So I shall do a deluxe bubble and squeak for lunch tomorrow and we'll have a chicken and kale bolognaise for tea, as that just means getting some passata and maybe some garlic.
I am not happy with Asda though. They have increased the price of the SP curry sauce from 5p to 26p!!0 -
Having spent £21 at Mr.M's I think I'd like to declare this month's amount at
£141.00. Though I think I might have missed a spend somewhere, I don't think I could have spent so little
Leaves me with £19.00.
My wages have cleared now to cover November, but I have 4 major birthdays coming up so might go overboard on this one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
