Nipped into JS last night, OH had seen they were doing Ribena (love the stuff) on BOGOF so I got 2 and then spotted Cauldron sausage for £1 (75p off) so got a couple of those and half a dozen eggs.......which has taken me to £169.51
Won't make my target as we need WU liquid and some fruit/ veg to make it to Wednesday  but I'll keep it as low as possible................0 -
Have done this weeks shop & came in at £17.34! :j Including whoopsied whole chicken & 4 chicken breasts & another 4 cans of the Prince’s tuna that is half price. Annoyingly Mr T is now selling 4 fruit corners for £2 rather than 5 for £1!
I hoping that’s it but I won’t declare yet as I might need milk. But I should be under. DD is going to her Dad’s tomorrow for the week & I’ll happily make do with whatever is in. Next week’s main shop will be in ‘November’ anyway.
I’m really enjoying this challenge & amazed that I can get it so low & still eat well. This is half what I managed to spend in August, pre-GC. Thanks to all for your support. :A0 -
Another 2 reciepts to add,£30.98 and £19.98.These include quite a bit for weight control dog food and he still has not lost any weight at all over 3 weeks. Now well over budget but I really think I hoped for too much this month with such a tiny budget."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0

Not much going on here. Leftover corned beef hash and leftover cabbage and cauli cheese bake for dinner, lunch is something simple for me and DS and I have got teacakes in the BM (recipe here- thanks mandy_moo, I left out the milk powder and they seemed fine when I made them two days ago, making more as DH loves them!). This weeks meal plan thread is up too- here is the link, for anyone wanting some inspiration (or wanting to be nosey like me lol)

I now have 92p to last the rest of my month,
We have 97p left from our GC budget, I think. Gonna be soooo over this month ! On the other hand, we'll still have spent less than we did last month, and I did stock up on so much this month that has since doubled in price, that a little overspend this month will still mean a saving in the long run.
I hope0 -
September challenge was just useless and this month seems to be continuing in the same way. Halfway through week 2 (we start on the 15th) and only have £27 left to last over the weekend till Tuesday. Last week we spent £102 over the weekend!!! I keep looking at what we're buying and just can't figure out where we are going wrong - only thing that comes to mind is we have a drink problem lol, given the amount of time we seem to buy booze!
Very demoralised, but on the good news front we have been reorganising household bills and will be saving around £90 a month so that's more promising.
Off to have a glass of wine to cheer myself up... drink problem, what drink problem??MFW Challenge (Tgt Date Nov 07): ACHIEVED FEB 07!
Mthly Savings (Tgt 60% of Inc): Average 41.67% (but we have just paid for a new kitchen!)
