Shoozles wrote:I love it when a sale comes in, and as quite a few of them came in last night every time I called out to my boyfriend to tell him about it. I'm pretty sure he thinks that if I say, 'I've just had a £20 sale!' then that's £20 of his salary I don't need. But as I was saying yesterday, it doesn't work like that.
Keep the sales to yourself Shoozles and make him pay what he should be - don't give him the chance to deduct every little extra that you earn from his payments towards the bills.
I'm so pleased you're questioning just how much you do (or don't) love each other and how much better life could be without him. Don't mistake his talk of "anxiety" being anything more than plain jealousy ...and a reason to stop you living life, you owe it to yourself to be happy - grab the chances as they come!Shoozles wrote:That's how I got to sleep last night. I was daydreaming about a new life.
This sentence speaks volumes ...don't let it always be a day dream, you need reality and so much happiness!

Well it's been a few days, I've been so busy! Business has picked up, which is fantastic.
Tomorrow is the day, so I'm just sitting down with a pile of bills to gather all the information that payplan may need. My telephone appointment is at 10am. After I've taken my car to the garage for the MOT!!
Got some great news. My boyfriend got his permanent job thank goodness! The pay increase is minimal, but it's a step in the right direction. And I suggested that we have the rent payment come directly out of his account, which he agreed to!
This means that I can't take his salary any more, but it also means that my outgoings will go down by £700 per month!
So now I have to try to get the rest of the household bills down in price, so I'll be off to Uswitch and all the rest of it asap. And of course I have to hope I can get something sorted with payplan. And hope my car doesn't get written off.
I've been going through this fab forum and have been signing up for all the clicks sites. I earned 30p or something like that yesterday, every little helps lol. I've also got my credit report from Experian, it's not as bad as I thought it would be, but then I can see some things are missing from it.
Right, I'd better get to these bills and get all my details ready.. fingers very tightly crossed that I will be able to get something sorted out...0 -
just wanted to say about the internet, my sky deal is 19 for sky + but not sport or anything but you can [STRIKE]con[/STRIKE] encourage them into giving you free movies for 3 months sometimes, then you just have to remember to ring up and cancel before it stops being free. I get 2meg internet with no download cap (i can only get 2meg as the fastest where i live) and the phone thing which I don't really use. so it like paying just for the internet but getting sky + for free in my case.
There is a service called freestat i think where you use your sky box as a freeview box basically that might be worth looking at if you really can't make the numbers add up you can get internet for 7 quid a month I think from o2 but you'd have too look into it.
Anyway I use my sky to work from home and connect remotely to the office and my house mate uses it at the same time, I haven't got an xbox but it is more than reliable enough for me, and i'm sure if they did upto 8meg in your area sky (which is actually easynet) would still do that. Who is your internet with?
You can always look on the sam knows site which will tell you if you put in your postcode and phone number the fastest internet you can get and from which providers if that helps.
ok i'm rambling a bit so i'm off to bed, I might try and explain this again another day when i'm not as tired so it makes a bit more sense.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 234 Proud to be dealing with my debts I love the Dave Ramsey podcasts. Hi Shoozles, good to hear from you and I'm really pleased your OH's job interview went well with a good result. I thinkI'm happy for you about him agreeing to the rent payment come directly out of his account - though not not sure about you not being able to touch his salary, but I can't recall how much he was giving you before?
Re the MOT, when you take it in, ask that IF they do find anything needs doing that they ring and let you know how much it will be - then IF it can be paid for go ahead and get it fixed so you won't need to pay 2 MOTs! If you can't then you'll need to pay for tomorrow's - then get it fixed whenever and still have to pay another MOT. Very important that bit.
Well done with the click sites, and especially with the increase in business!
Good luck for tomorrow Shoozles, I really do mean it.

Thank you! I will look into al of that.
Just tried to do a new SOA taking off oh's income and the rent. I swear it looks worse than it did before. Must not panic. Not yet.0 -
Thank you Sue, I didn't see your post when I sent my last reply.
I think as nothing is definate yet with the switching around of money that I'll stick to my original SOA.. but as others have pointed out I still have no surplus to pay to a dmp.. aaaahhh!0 -

Wait until tomorrow's over Shoozles then maybe work out another SOA.
No need to panic remember, it gets you nowhere and is wasted energy! You sound a lot happier now and I know you love your work, keep it up and put all your energy on that and keep the £s rolling in while you have Christmas on your side!
I'll be thinking of you [STRIKE]tomorrow[/STRIKE] make that today!

Are you sure his salary will cover the rent? In your SOA his net pay was £600
I don't want to spoil the progress you're making, but you must focus on the severity of your situation. You need an extra £400 each and every month and, to be honest, I can't see that amount of savings in your outgoings. Even without the debt, you need more incomeWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
Hi Debt Free Chick, yes, his salary has increased a little with the permanent job, enough to cover the rent.
I know I need more income. I just don't know how to get it really.0
