.............just compared a new bill i got today with a mate , we did our workings out and we have roughly the same (she has electric shower) and teenagers at home ---i dont
she used....
22 august-18 september....77 day and 418 nights units
and i used ..
22 august-24 september...696 day and138 night units............
I'd ask why have E7 with that split between day and night? That's around 16% night rate and it's possible it's more expensive having E7 for you. If you speak to Eon they can work out if you save by going yo a single rate.0 -

Bojangles, how much hot water do you need for the morning, could you get away with just half an hour.
And, as an experiment...see how much you use in an hour down to the part units, when there's not much on other than the stuff you can't unplug....then see how much extra you use with the immersion on for an hour and the same background stuff on.
It might convince you to wait till morning with the washing up and it should give you some idea of how much/how many units the immersion is using.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
right..... I have now phoned eon, after getting 3 letters stating i owe them money
1st letter- £179.00
2nd letter- £185.00
3rd letter -£195.00
they said it was a c*ck up
My account is clear and has been for years .
i asked them to change my meter to a single rate meter and they are doing it on 9 october
so i should go from....
13.48 per kw (day ) and 5p per kw (night) to a set rate of 10.18 kw for all units used and standing charge goes from 51p to 34p
lets see how that goes ....
in the mean time i have used £22.72 electric since last wednesday so it is getting better compared to our usual £30/£35 in a week0
