I wish it was anything that exciting!!!! It's old decimal coins - 5s and 10s! Chances are, they're worth nothing. I was wondering if a TV or film production company would be interested for projects set around the era, but if they aren't worth a light, I'd just end up giving them away, or binning them...0

I have one of those "terracotta" jars. You put money into it and the only way to get the money out is by smashing it. I only put £1 coins into it every now and again so when it's full I should have a fair amount to spend on something nice0

In that case Blue Peter might want them at Christmas, or charities may take them off your hands.
TV and film companies is a good idea, but you should look for companies that supply props to TV and Film companies. I'm pretty sure TV and Film companies only hire the props they use.0 -
You mentioned you wanted knitting patterns, you could try charity shops some sell them for 20p each and knitting needles for 10p each. Always ask though, they are not always on display and kept out the back. Hope this helps.
If you google "knitting patterns" there are quite a few sites where you can get them for free. They are digital, of course, so you would need to print them out. Or knit at the computer!0 -
my husband is obsessed with saving change, he actually asks me if i havee any at the end of each day! cant complain though as it always helps us out every few months when things are tight, as they say look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves.
