  • I've just treated myself to this half price in Asda and I can see I shall use it lots (although some of the recipes look familiar from the orig Cookery Course)

BUT: Why are all the measurements only in metric!??**^%$£ (Asterix swearing)

I know they have to put metric in but couldn't they have put imperial in as well.? I'm only 40 and I use imperial all the time - I can convert but I don't want to. I assume the original was in imperial??

My thoughts exactly Thriftmonster. It really annoys me especially as the photography in the book has a distinctly old-fashioned feel.

I hate you all...as I ordered one :rotfl:

Just being in metric is annoying but my scales and jugs measure in both which is fine. I tend to change from metric to imperial as I go through recipes anyway :D

I ordered mine from The Book People the other day, i got free delivery and though Frugal Food cost me £7.99 it meant i got Delia's 'How to Cheat' for £4.49 and i also paid only £2 for a book called 'Pizza' that has loads of homemade pizza recipes.

Not many pictures in it, they could've done a bit more work on the update. I haven't bought it.
