I took this out of my library and had a quick flick through. I think the recipes on here are nicer to be honest!
Getting there... A deal at a time. :T
  • Hardback version of the book in WH Smiths today for £10, and if you sign up for the privilege club online you will be e mailed a £5 voucher off a £10 book spend so would be able to get the hardback version for £5 :D
    Reduce,re-use, recycle.

  • The original version is really cheap on amazon now....a bit disappointed as I was going to suggest my hosuemate sold her copy for some easy cash!

It's a decent book but it is HILARIOUS to compare her advice in there - basically, anyone using canned/frozen/convenience food is a TRAITOR - to her current obsession with "cheating". Hypocrite. :rotfl:
    August grocery challenge: £50
    Spent so far: £37.40 :A

I agree, she was just so very vehement in her first book, that it made me laugh :rotfl:

I guess thats the hazard of putting your opinions down in book form....other people can change their minds and no one ever knows ;)

I've just borrowed the book from my local library. Other than the spicy chicken, any other 'must try' recipes that I should copy berore returning it?

I use the rabbit recipes and the offal recipes the most, although the Honeycomb Mould (?) is lovely as well.

If you are using the new reprint then you won't find the rabbit recipes (nor the hm yoghurt) which have inexplicably been left out:confused:
  • I've bought the reprinted version and I think it's pretty good.

Just to let you know that Delia has devised 2 frugal Christmas menus which you can download in PDF format from the Radio 2 Website. ;)
