Never thought I would create such a negative response upon posting this offer.

My Brothers wife put me onto this one, she recieved one of these coins, and has not had anyone hassling her in the slightest about buying anything more. Recieved mine about a week ago now, so hoping I wont be hassled either.

Guess its a blessing im in the middle of moving

They will send you the next coin in approx one month from when the penny arrived then one every month , it will be sent on approval and without obligation , according to their literature . I won't approve of it nor be obliged to purchase it .

But you WILL be obliged to return it to them at your own expense...............so it will cost you money just to "look" at these coins, before returning them....................which is a bit of a stupid thing to do is'nt it :rotfl:

They have a choice either come and collect them , or they can send me the postage and packing costs and my costs for storage and delivery to the post office . When they arrive i'm going to sign as "unwanted junk" if it requires a signature , Doubt if i'll get many coins off them anyway , its the third coin the collectors box and magnifying glass comes with so i won't get that far .

Well at least you have finally opened your eyes and can now see that the future coins you receive are not "unsolicited" (as you were so adament that they were at the start!). If you dont want the coins, surely is'nt it just common sense to cancel now very simply, rather then get the coins, look at them, and then start a whole world of hassle when you refuse to send them back.
  • I recieved mine this morning, doesn't look a good as i expected but still well worth the £2.50 (and if nothing else i can say i own a 24ct Gold coin to make me feel a lil better during the skint months ahead lol).

As soon as i recieved it I got the invoice out (i dont like to delay payments) and realised it was an 0845 number to call up and pay. With a little help from the guys over at www.saynotoo0870.com i got a free phone 0800 number :D a nice woman answered immediately (it didnt even get chance to ring lol) and i paid without hassle an was able to cancel the "subscription" and they've assured me not only will i recieve no more coins but ill recieve a reciept and confirmation of canceling within 7 working days! :D

I just recieved a recorded delivery package from the LMO , its a Thrupenny bit , along with an invoice for £19.95 i phoned the freefone number and told them to either come and collect it or send me the postage , they said they would send me a returns envelope thingy and i would be removed from their lists ,
  • Quick update, i canceled after i recieved the free coin and all has been good! Nothing extra to pay or unwanted coins.... but saying that i recieved a marketing pack fully of rubbish yesterday (trying to sell gold bullion) but no coin or invoice!! So i called them up and asked to be removed from marketing aswell. All in all im still happy, i got what i paid for :D

  • I understand that some people have had bad experiences dealing with this company but I have ordered things from them several times and I am 100% happy with them.

I even ordered the penny in this thread after seeing it advertised in a newspaper, once the penny arrived with it's invoice I phoned up and paid the £2.50 and asked them not to send anything more from the collection which they haven't done.

The things I order are 99% of the time special offers, deals to entice you in to buying the rest of the collection at a greater price, you know this when you order, but when paying the bill a polite 'Please don't send me any more of the collection' stops anything further arriving (In my case anyway)

A month or 2 back I ordered a full set of the new coins that are just coming in to circulation, they were approx £10 with free p&p. When they arrived I phoned up to pay, the bill was £13 approx, they had charged me for p&p but I did not pick up on this, I had forgot it was free p&p, but the person I was talking to pick up on this right away and amended my account there and then which I thanked him very much for, a few days later a letter of apology also arrived from them.

With the dealings I have had with this company, I can not fault them one little bit.

Anyone who has ordered the penny or thinking about ordering it or anything else from companies like this, just remember to ask them not to send anything else, you only want the item you ordered, sometimes this can be done at the time the order is placed other time it has to be done when you have received the first item and are paying but the person your dealing with should let you know their procedure.

I hope you all enjoy your pennies and don't have any problems

    Maisie xx
