  • think I might take the dog for a walk.

Okay, so I thought about it and had another piece of cake :o

Finished my swap box shopping today, feeling really pleased with myself - I just hope my swappee realises why I've bought the various items, they say it's the thought that counts (the dog disagrees) and I've been thinking for ages - think I'll leave my swappee guessing as to who the box is from  (that's me in disguise).

    Hi all

The towing course went well, although it was a miserably cold day to do it - I'm just about thawed out again now having popped into the local carvery for a roast dinner. We've got a bit more towing training to do on the roads and then we'll get a certificate. :D

It's been a good day from an LW point of view - we had porridge for breakfast and then only cups of tea all day until we got to the carvery.

My swap box parcel will be in the post tomorrow, fingers crossed the post office will get it there in time for the grand opening.

  • well, as we're confessing, i savaged some jaffa cakes whilst selling poppies today. The virtuousness of the charitable act cancels out the calories though. Would you believe that our local high school is holding a craft fair on remembrance sunday? starting at 1030? OFf to write a stiff letter of complaint now. FFM, i'm sure dog agrees that its the thought that counts - after all, without any pocket money, the only thing he/she can do for you is to sick up on the kitchen floor. I'm sure a lot of though goes into the part where they back up endlessly to give you a nice long line, maximising the chance of treading in it.

KPC, have we met? have I told you about my dog?

You are so spot on it's unbelievable. She is a very sicky creature. Her speciality is being sick in the corner where she can get it under the washing machine and yes she does like to leave a long line, but in particular at the edges where the floor tiles don't quite meet the skirting board so it seeps nicely underneath. But at least it's hard to tread in.

Sorry if that is a bit too much detail :rotfl:

OH didn't fancy the healthy pasta and sauce I had planned for tea, so I gave him a Vesta curry that was lurking in the cupboard - did you know there is more than 1100 calories in one of these  . He'll end up tubby if he's not careful :rotfl:

wld happily add my name to that one kpc. Unbelieveable. Talking of noble acts offsetting, I feel the hour I spent in old clothes, shower cap and safety glasses this afternoon scrubbing black mould off 3/4 of the bathroom ceiling with bleach totally offsets the hot cross bun incident at breakfast. I call it noble because i'm one of four of us here who could have done it:A . I think I have enough moral high ground banked now to requst OH tackles the blocked drain (noticed the washing machine flooding the back yard just as it was getting dark) .

I'm just back from the new Westfield Centre in London and I ache all over! We are very near (two stops on the tube). Now I LOVE shopping but this is a hell hole! Maybe it's because it has just been open for four days but I feel like we've been herded around. It's so big I felt like I had to escape to the fresh air and daylight! Didn't spend much and came back with a headache!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!
