stuff usually comes back into fashion the week after i throw it away. IT's something i inherited from my father - as soon as he buys an electronic item it immediately becomes obsolete. Flat screen lcd televisions are now DOOMED!

welcome stacie - I hope you find lighterlife works for you. You may find that if there is a newcomer who suggested they were considering that, many of us would not recommend it - this isn't a dig at you at all, i'm glad it's working for you. We had a bit of a bump a couple of months ago when a new poster on lighter life took a criticism of meal replacement diets very personally and I would hate you have that experience. What made you pick it?

I used to work at MaccyD's in leeds city centre melly - bet you eat better at Sainsburys!

Morning everyone, I'm Jay, I'd love to join!

I'm about 4-5 stone overweight  and recently graduated from uni as a mature student. I'm married with two teen kids:rolleyes: I'm having a break to sort my house, kids, & self, before jobhunting. Mainly because jobs in my field are likely to involve a long commute so I'll need to be very organised.

So I've decided to tackle my weight/health as part of that, I'm hoping that if I'm lighter I wont get so tired when doing long days, so can cope with family responsibilities and keep up with exercise too. Plus feel and look better and healthier:o

I'm hoping to lose by eating less, walking, and maybe some swimming/wii fit, if I can figure out how to use it.

I'll probably be 'at home' until January at least, and am really desperate to lose weight. I'm starting to get aches and pains in my knees and feet, so my weight is restricting what I can do. I'd love to do climbing, (especially a treetop climb,) and running, but am just too heavy!!

Anyway, pleased to meet you all:D

    Jay xx

    Welcome Juliepink and Jay

You sound like youre having a bit of a life overhaul, good for you too. I love the maturer students in my college class, soo funny.

anyway, the others in the forum can give you some really good advice and i know theres bits on the first page to look at. Especially suggs and starlights stories!

KPC: why didnt i get your joke? its nothing new, i am always the last person in a room to get one! Problem solving, jokes and maths just cant seem to work in my head. Apart from the snowman/carrot joke! soooo good.

Beanie: have a laugh! Youre not too old. Although to wear a hippy looking one you'd have to go for the whole look i guess, although you could team it with a nice white top or something...pair of jeans...boots ect.

Right im off to dissertation it! ciao

Finally the nurse has rang and said that the tablets I was on are causing too much internal probs to continue with, one more blood test should conclude it and then she will evaluate and put me on others or give me a cortison injection, I can't praise cortison high enough, had one in my elbow and within 30 mins the pain had gone and I COULD actually move it, pure medical brilliance, feel much better at least the nurse knows I have no tablets and is doing all she can to make sure I get some and ones that suit me, strange really because outwardly the tablets were great, no flair ups, no pain, but internally they were causing damage:rolleyes:
