Well folks, I've bought the slimming world magazine, not opened it yet, but I've bought it!! hehe!!
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:
  • Victory -that's awful and I truely sympathise. For the 100th time I realise how fortunate I am with my dr's. I can't imagine them leaving me with nothing. I guess they've seen the bloods though - that's what's happens to me: dodgy white blood cell count and other things to do with liver and kidney and they take me off the drugs that 'work' but at least they try something else (unfortunately everytime with disasterous consequences:(). Hope you can see a dr this morning.
Dragon - remembered last night that I hadn't responded to your last post: very sorry to hear things bad for Dr Dragon and you lousy. We already know life isn't 'fair', I just hope this time passes quickly for you both.

Vix - the flats sounds great. Not too bad that Matt had worries about the money side of it - it is a big committment but to be together in your own place I hope would be well worth it. When I was 22 I was still living in a very grotty, unheated student house with 3 others. In fact at 45 I'm still house sharing with 3 others:rotfl: . Mmmm makes note to investigate where I went wrong...
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    Hi everyone,

Updating again. I've been terrible all week. My IBS is playing up like a mad thing on a mad day and I'm getting very little warning of an attack. I guess it's my body finding a way to show I'm stressed. I can't imagine the eczema attack I'm going to get when all of this settles down!

Well, since food isn't comforting me atm and spending money is only providing me with a very temporary relief, I have no idea what I can do to make myself feel better. I think I might rejoin WW on Monday and try to start going for walks when DS is in nursery again.

Dragon/Victory- I'm sorry things aren't going well for you. Hope things get better soon. This rotten weather can't be helping

BB how did day one go? Are you still sticking to the plan?

Off now as I have to sort out DS 's lunch and we're going out till it's dropping off with the FFA time.

Have a good weekend everyone in spite of the rain.

I just wanted to use this chance, on my 1000th post to thank you all for the support you 've given me. I've been posting on the various LW threads since DS was 6 months old - that's 2 1/2 years ago. You've supported me through all the ups and downs that my marriage and I have suffered - and now that a break has been made and I'm moving forward with my life, I hope I can be as good a support for you guys as you have been for me. If it hadn't been for you, I'd have either jumped off a bridge or been signed into the local mental home.:D

Thank you especially to Brighton Belle, Bails, Lois Lane, Suggs, Victory, BeanieLou, Tagz, FFM, KatiePoppyCat..... and if I've left anyone out, I'm sorry, but there's so many of you - too many to mention.:T

    You're all angels - thanks.

    Edel.
    xx

    Hi all

Delly - I'm pleased to have been able to help, and you'd have been the same if it was someone else here that was going through the same thing. It's amazing how much support we can all provide to one another, considering we're using a virtual media and haven't even spoken to each other, let alone met! :)

Victory - sorry to hear about the arthritis flare up, it's crazy that the docs can just leave you in pain and not give you an alternative to the medicine they've stopped. A gentle virtual hug from me too.

Dragon - hope things are improving in your house. Not being nosy or anything, but feel free to share it if it will help.

Hugs to anyone else that needs one.

Catch you later - I'm supposed to be tidying the study!

I hope the flare up eases soon Victory, I really think that some Dr's have no idea that sometimes the patients do know something and they should listen to them. I hope you saw a doctor this morning who was helpful.

I hope things improve for you Dragon.

Good luck with the flat Vix it sounds fantastic.

That was a lovely 1000th post Delly - everyone here is so supportive and helpful - I'm sure that because we don't know each other properly it enables us to confide things on here that we'd never dream of telling people in real life. It's always nice to find that others have had similar experiences and got through them.

Group hug for everyone who needs one:

Hi Beanie - I was at a conference at Stirling Royal Infirmary, I flew up to Edinburgh airport on Thursday evening and stayed overnight at Bridge of Allan. It's beautiful round there, I'll have to go back when I've got more time to appreciate it.

Sorry to hear you're feeling the cold - are you getting all the help available to people on a low income? I know there has been talk recently about free home insulation, have you had your place done? There's more information here .
