BB, sounds like a good idea.
I'll have to have a think - last year I went on the MSE grocery challenge to reduce costs so that we could afford a holiday this year. We had a great 2 weeks in Spain. That was in August and I've slipped back into old habits a bit recently.

So just to be clear - are fitness (or activity) related ones off limits?
Hope everyone's had a good weekend - Lois I'm glad the trial run went well for you!FFM well done on your result this week! I'll post mine tomorrow but I'm expecting a gain - haven't been off plan with calories at all, and I've done more exercise than last week, but TOTM is late and I feel bloated - yuk!

As it's you missy, and I can make up the rules of this as I go along, you can enter specific activity/fitness goals. It was general vagueness I was trying to avoid, like 'get fitter'. Specific fitness goals I shall allow, coz I'm nice like that:D Oh, and another standing ov please missy, I've just sold something for £26 on ebay that I nearly shoved on freecycle instead:j . I've now made over £75:T the last few weeks.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
These are my specific fitness goals for September - March, this is the six month 'operation recovery' plan and also to keep things ticking over for the winter. Then I will do some much more challenging ones for the Spring & Summer
- Swimming - improve front crawl aiming for 10, 20 then 30 lengths with good technique
- Running (distance) - build back up to 10k gradually, aiming to run 10k in under 60 mins
- Running (variety) - log at least 10 significant variations to 'normal routine' (terrain, locations, gradients, intervals etc)
- Cycling - minimum two 15km+ outdoor cycles per month whatever the weather
- Triathlon - complete one gym-based 'sprint triathlon' over the winter months
- Triathlon - follow at least one bike ride per month with a 5 or 10km run
- Strength - starting 2009, devise weight training programme and complete 2 sessions per week
- General - induction at local pay as you go gym (£25) and do at least 3 further PAYG sessions
- General - go ice skating once every month
- General - continue using home gym equipment to ensure minimum 30 minutes exercise, 5-6 days per week

lol bbelle, i always think that it's unfair that it takes a week to lose a couple of lbs but only a couple of naughty days to put them on!
my goal is keep on top things and not let anything get out of hand - I am too busy for my own good.0 -
Wish i had your motivation, and many other characteristics that i lack missy! Sounds impressive your list.
Im at mums cos i didnt want to spend the day alone. Im also having a roast. Normally i would be excited but over the past two days ive not had a dinner, and today ive only had 5 butterpuffs, so i figure i must be off food. I dont mind, cos its probably my bodies way of saying its christmas soon and fat will be coming a go go.
Work is fun though, dissertation hasnt moved all week cos im doing it on word 08 and matt has 03 and now the sodding thing wont open. Grrr.
anyway, hope youre all well and happy. Caravaning if thats the right term is hardcore lois, well done!0 -

Vix you can always move forward with office but not backwards...so your 03 saved version will open on the 08 but not vice versa. If you check out your 'save as' options though there should be an option in the 08 version tosave as an earlier word version then you should be able to hope between. It'll be in a drop down menu in the save as box ...think its marked...'save as type' think '97 might be a winner for you until you get settled on one pc. Always keep a back up copy of your latest...think Jays told you that already.

yea, i normally swap and change between the compatability mode but i was in the process of creating graphs and for that it needed to be saved as an 08 version and not the other. Soo sccreeeeeeeeeeeeeeew word.
My only option is to get the 08 cd, which im hoping is in the bookcase cos if not i will have to buy an 08 copy. Before i do that i shall check what i have on my stick cos i do try to either email it or stick it when i remember. I just had bad luck that my laptop went when i didnt back it up and when i was working on an 08 version.
This has never happened to me before actually. All my mates through high school and college have always made this bull poo excuse that their work has been lost through this that and the other when a deadline is due, now all my speculation has come to bite me in the butt!0 -
hope you get things sorted soon vix!0
