  • Oh Lou :grouphug: sending positive vibes your way, you poor thing. I've never done any *serious* to my back but I did something once, god knows what but it was agony for a few days and I could barely walk, even sitting upright hurt, that was years ago and I still remember how badly it hurt.

Spud I do have my own cooking elf as it happens  maybe we could find a rich man (Zed, Lenny, NAGH, maybe? :D - especially with his taste in shoes!) and do some kind of genetic experiment.

Well my vat of veggie pasta is sitting in bowls RAW because the yellow and orange peppers were MOULDY - I got these on thursday  OH was going to Tesco but Elliot has fallen asleep in the car... so he's coming here to pick me up, I'll do the driving while he goes in the shop, how complicated these non-events get...

I stink of raw onion and garlic. Mmmm, attractive.

BB I bet you cant wait for your Holiday:rolleyes: ...how long now?

3 weeks this coming Wednesday we go. Wish I was a couple of stone lighter  (at the very least!).

Right, back from Tesco, treated myself to a scarf and necklace to go with my suede work jacket. I have to go to a meeting tomorrow about re-branding and I've been invited as it used to be my 'thing'. Thought I'd better go in a suit as it will be me and about 15 managers from the 2 councils so I've dragged out my winter suede jacket but there's a shiny patch where it's been rubbing against the desk so the scarf under the collar and then down each side should hide it. Mad really, I used to have loads of scarves, not sure what happened to them all!

Got all my ingredients for Tuesday - except the Parsley which I forgot - d'oh! Will have to whizz and get some Tuesday afternoon.

Foot is still hurting even though I've take pain killers and anti-inflammatories. I've got a gel ice pack I think I'm going to put on it whilst I'm AQA'ing.

I need some housework elves - urgently. I've been doing the washing up, washing, putting rubbish out etc each day, but haven't hoovered or dusted for absolutely ages :o

Lou - I sympathise with your back. If it's the disc, use an ice pack (with a cloth round)3 times a day, if it's the hip area at the side, use heat on it. Sleep with a pillow between your knees and start taking anti-inflammatories.

  • Well, took the kids to meet up with one of bezza mates and her little guy for The Scottish Resturant and bowling and DS has only gone and injured himself again! The kids is a walking disaster-tripped whilst carrying the bowling ball and slammed his fingers between the ball and the floor. Bless him-they bled and are all purple and swollen. Honestly-what am I going to do with him???

I daren't look at the ham,pers-with best intentions, I would get all the stuff and then never get around to doing them and then DH would get narked off with the crap everywhere! lol

Not sure if this is debt saving but I bought the Daily Mail today so I could get the 'Tenors' dvd. So far, it's briliant...

  • I know-but once the little blighter has fallen asleep-there's no waking him up! Trust me, I have tried. He was worn out from hurting himself I think.

The 2 of them didnt go to bed til 9 last night...DH goes away and routine goes out the window-and I hardly see them in the week so I tend to be a bit more lenient. It will come back to bite me on the rrse i'm sure!
