Just had my daughter on the phone saying she has not got her maintenance loan paid into her bank account yet and what is she suppose to live on:eek: .
Her payment schedule from Student Loans said the first payment would be on the 22 September but it is now 25 September.
I told her I am sure it is on its way but I was wondering if anybody else has got theirs yet;) ?

I'm a fresher who is also due a payment but not until Monday as stated on my schedule letter. However, it does normally take up to 4 days for the payment to come through to your account. If your daughter logs into the SFD website and clicks the "My Payments" link, she can see the status of all payments and whether they have been successfully sent or not. My university suggests students contact the institutions student centre if scheduled payments do not appear in your account within 4 working days.
Hope that helps.0 -
Also depends on when you enroll at university. It should come 3 or 4 days after you enroll.0

Whatever it says in the payment schedule, it won't be paid until 3 days after the student physically registers at the university.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Yeah every year ive had problems with them being late with payments thanks to my stupid university being physically unable to communicate across departments!! You have to actually be re-enrolled on your course every year and the uni then contact the SLC to release the money into your account.
I'm desperately needing mine, and i'm hoping it goes smoothly this year! As my new landlord isnt quite as understanding about financial crisis' as the last one! and ive got a feeling they're going to be charging me unholy late rent payment feestrying to become a moneysaving student0 -

Depends when you physically register at the university. If you don't register unitl 6th Oct, your loan won't reach your bank account until 8th Oct at the earliest.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
