    Ermmmm wouldn't that be 100 ? 10% of £10 is £1 = 100 piggy points

  • Went to the Hamleys event tonight and had a great time!!! Will be sending Pigsback a thank-you e-mail tomorow for the invite.

Did anyone else form here go?? I noticed it was really empty (there can't've been more than 50 people there including celebs) so I was wondering if people who got their invites at the last minute didn't bother going.

All celebs seemed really nice, the mince pies were yummy, I won something in the charity auction (yay!!), and the guy from The Bill's brand were great!! (even when our little girl started clapping and shouting 'yayy!!' in the middle of a song and he burst out laughing and had to stop!) *blush!!* lol!!

    Thursday's crossword solution:

As I ponder over how the clue "spreads" gives rise to the answer "straws", and how ...

Oh never mind, I really just wanted to say that I'll be away from my PC from 6 Dec to 17 or 18 Dec, as we make our annual yuletide pilgrimage to old stomping grounds. Regrettably, I'll be unable to submit the crossword solutions during that time.

I do know that at least three people who frequent this place are able to post the solution as an image, and others, notably jules-2005, have listed the answers as text. Perhaps they would be kind enough to keep things going during - and perhaps after! - my absence.

Now the really tricky bit is, how do I keep getting my Piggy Points whilst I'm away? Four days for you to enlighten me before I leave on Monday afternoon!

Glad you all had a good time!

I hope that the poor turn-out you refer to doesn't make Hamleys think twice about using PB as publicity agents again. We don't, of course, know how many PB-ers were awarded places for the "do", and still less do we know how many of those receiving tickets actually turned up.

I can think of four different ways. Not all are necessarily sensible, practical, or even possible, depending whether your old stamping grounds are your mum/sister's house or the Himalayas! :)

    However, here they are:

    1. Take your PC/laptop with you!!!!!

    2. Borrow somebody else's PC while you are there

    3. Internet cafe (not very moneysaving)

    4. Ask someone you REALLY trust to log onto Pigsback and do it for you.

Not very helpful, I'm afraid. Can anyone think of some more original ideas, involving perhaps lasers or high-speed motorbike chases?

Couldn't spread be sprawl rather than straws?
