Always feel a bit miffed with Lidl on product lines in the UK , some right rubbish !
We visited one of the Lidl stores in Belguim near Ypres , it makes the UK ones look cr*p !
Loads of Fresh cheese on sale and the beer range was awsome , from bog standard right up to Trappist brewed ales !
The quality of the Fruit and Veg on sale were superb with none of this "4 tomatos to a pack " nonsense and all different shapes as well !
About time we got the same quality here !A Bast**d I May Be ! I Was Born One !

Looked at the Lidl Cider today....Churchwoods was 99pm a bottle which is more expensive than some of the Bulmers/Magners multiple deals out there right now.0

Just back from Lidl. Pork chops are on offer this weekend at £2.50 for 4 (700gr). I also got a huge watermelon for £1.49. Bought one last weekend and it was delicious. Apparently the way to check if a watermelon is "good" is to knock on it gently with your fist and it should sound hollow.
Other items on offer were courgettes - 99p per kilo, cherry tomatoes, galia melons -£1, mixed peppers - 69p per pack. Don't forget your voucher from the Daily Mirror if you bought one yesterday!0 -
Anybody tried the pollock yet? What price was it please?0

This last weekend Aldi has something similar for 19.99 but a Lidl they are 12.99 next Monday.
Anyone tried them - are they any good?0 -
I like the jam and marmalade from Aldi and it's a full size jar 454g.0

I think the Pollock is £2.99 - and we often use it, it is very nice as far as cheap white fish goes. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
