  • Aw DD, it's rubbish isn't it? We all go through times like that, if you've moved to a new place or drifted away from a group. We think you're great, so there :p xx

  • You guys are fab :) you really are you know. I've never seen anyone turned away from DFW or told 'we don't want to help'

(except trolls, but shhh they might here and come out from under their bridges!)

Maz you're right, it is hard to build up friendships when you are so busy anyway, but it's so important to have people you can chat to and who know what it's like - when you have similar aged kids I mean. I thought it would be the perfect place because the one thing we have in common, if nothing else, is children. Maybe I should try again next week but I felt a bit humiliated.

Next year I'll make it to a DFW meet and hug you all :D
  • I know exactly the feelig daphne. It took me a long time to rebuild a circle of friends and it's only been recently that it's really happened so please don't feel alone. :grouphug:

  • back from work - hurrah! AQA needs to be majorly hammered as many hours as I can cope with each day until the end of the month - boo!!

Cat - so glad everything is ok :)

Daphne - I know just how you feel. I have people I work with but they aren't 'friends' and I've drifted away from all my friends in the pub I used to drink with I'd find it really hard to go back in there again.

Got my wage slip and the £60 tax refund we all get was on there which was good to see.

Just about to have lunch, good job I'm starving!

  • DD, I know exactly where your coming from, as a live in carer, I have no friends, only see peeps who come in to see mr & mrs, no phone calls / letters as not allowed to give out the address, so I only have the forums. Quite often I don't get acknowledged here, so get very low and lonely, but If you want to talk just PM me and we can keep each other company (((((hugs)))))))) to you and yours
