Aw DD - come on in, we can try and cheer you up! - anything to get out of the ironing...
So far while doing the ironing I have watched come dine with me, wire in the blood and casualty. All very gory. Glad I watched the food programme before the others though!Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Sammy was that the one with Peter Stringfellow - I thought he was so totally charming and the most polite.

I'm lonely. I don't have any proper friends - just people I know, acquaintances.
This morning I took Elliot to baby signing, I am paid up for the whole term, and I tried to get chatting to 3 different people only to be blanked. They were all sat in their 2s and 3s and no one even looked at me. I felt an idiot just sitting there on my own so picked up DS and left, only to burst into stupid tears in the car park. Stupid.0 -
See, my old group of friends, who I've known for years, well most of them are into recreational drugs, so the contact stopped, it's not that I can't be friends with people but making new ones is bloody hard and wherever I go it seems that people are not interested.0

I'm kinda going thru something similar at the moment, i have drifted away from my friends in the village as they are still into drinking and carrying on, some are newly single and going out was a big thing to them, i just couldn't sustain it, trying to was affecting my relationship, so i have pulled away from it all....
plus now it is some of their kids who are doing the bullying so i know once the shiit hits the fan at school that the friendships are over completely...
i'm just glad i have you lot....!
I suspect you are a bit like me, and don't have time for maintaining friendships at the expense of family life...
And as for biatches at baby signing, fcuk them! they aren't worth knowing!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
OH DD, that post takes me back to when I first moved to the West Midlands, standing at the school gate watching all the posh mums confidently walking their kids into school, with me trembling at the knees, scared to open my nothern common mouth (sorry if I offend any northerners but I do tend to stick out!)
I had no choice but to go back day after day and face these cold faces who just looked me up and down, but one day one of those faces spoke to me and she wasn't as stuck up as I thought! She's is one of my bezzie mates now....we are chalk and cheese to an extent but have the same values..
I think what I am trying to say DD is take a deep breath and keep going.....you may not break the ice first off but maybe the opportunity just didn't arise today. Big Hugs......xxxxxQuality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I have a sign for them!

...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0
