Well Christmas is well and truly over!

I am glad its all over, so much expense and stress for just one day! I always think its going to be great and then its normally pretty boring!

I am sure once i have my own children to enjoy it with things will be different.

I am looking forward to the New Year though.

My main aim for 2009 is to stay debt free!

I also want to keep saving as much as possible, i am going to try and save £250 a month from my wages as this was the amount i used to pay on the loan and intended to save that all along but haven't done so since i have been debt free.

I really need to get Nick into the way of saving too, i am getting a bit annoyed that out of all the money saved so far its only come from me!

He owes his Step Dad £150 still but after that we are going to have to sit down and work out how much he can save per month too.

I am also hoping for a money neutral Christmas next year, hoping to save as many vouchers up as possible for it.

I also want to try and get to Australia next Christmas, i am trying to sell my Tesco deals vouchers on eBay to make £250ish to go towards a ticket.

Its really hard to get points now with Tesco and i have about £500 worth of deals with £80 to come end of next Quarter but there is nothing i want to spend them on with Tesco apart from a holiday and i can't afford a big holiday and Australia too so any funds i can get for that are good.

I am not sure if Nicks gonna be able to save for it through  Its his 30th in April so was thinking of getting everyone to chip in for his ticket for it but then he has 8 months before we go so not sure if thats fair?

With the current financial climate/euro etc i don't think it would be worth going to Europe or America anyway for a week or two , we will maybe just have a few long weekends away camping next year before the big holiday.

I have also sold my broken phone on eBay today and made £40 and looking to make another £20 from a gift voucher and DVD sale plus got £13 coming from CBK so thats another £70ish for the ISA.

I am nearly at payout on 2 scratchcards soon so will have an extra £90 in there by early Jan. :)

    Happy New Years Eve!!!

I am staying in tonight and having a free New Years Eve, hate going out on NYE, so expensive.

I managed to sell my Tesco deals so happy with that, already got most of the vouchers the buyer wanted too, i hate paypal though, it takes so much in fees

Made £236 in profit though for holiday/Australia fund.

I am not setting any resolutions.

I have a few "wants" though, i want to try and get down to 8 stone, i managed to lose 16lb between last Jan & Jun but its crept up a little over last few months, i am going to weigh myself Saturday and see what the damage is, i am pretty happy with my weight, just need to tone up and get rid of my roll lol.

I of course as already mentioned "want" to stay debt free.

    I "want" to keep saving.

2009 should be a good year for me, i want to make it one but we shall see what happens!

My main goal so far for January is to reach £50 on Dooyoo to get a cheque, at £14 so far.

Hope everyone has a lovely NYE, see you in 2009 :D

I thought I best update this as its been nearly 3 weeks since I last did.

I have had some big spends this month.

I gave in to my urge to have a tumble dryer and used the money for selling the Tesco vouchers to get one, got a great deal though so happy, brought a new but graded (means could have dents etc) one from eBay that was £240 at Dixons plus delivery, I paid £225 including delivery so saved £35 :)

Then I decided I had to book a holiday. So I have booked one, its gonna be great but I can't say anymore on here! But it cost me £512 in flights (used ISA) and £721 for the hotel (via quidco so getting £72 back) which i put on my credit card so I need to clear that by 6th Feb to keep it interest free. I am down to £555 already though and will clear rest when paid.

I am up to £31 on Dooyoo and have done a few cashback offers and of course keep going at the wonderful scratch cards but I haven't done much at all the last week.

I had some bad news that a neighbour had died early part of the week and well Nick threw a massive one at me Friday by telling me he wants us to start trying for a baby!

Now I was hoping he was going to come round to the idea but now I need to get on a money making mission ASAP! Our holiday is end of April so no trying until May at least but I am saving for our secret trip until then.

I do really want our own house before a baby but him telling me he wants one too has made me go loopy and I am already looking at buggies etc :o
