Well i have spent this weekend being very unMSE and spending lots of money but on Christmas mainly.
I have got my brother, sister in law and my other niece all sorted now, i am seeing them next Saturday so needed to get them done as won't see them before xmas again.
Brought half of Nick's mums pressie too and a tiny present for Nick and my best friend so getting there now, can't believe its only 2 weeks away though!
I had to get my secret Santa present too, its my works meal on Thursday which i am not looking forward too, the atmosphere there ATM is really bad, i don't want to have to socialise with people outside of work. Our MD is paying for our meal and one drink so i will be leaving after that, i am not dressing up either. Will probably get grief tomorrow for being off sick last week anyway.
Maybe next year i might look for another job again but with the current climate i shouldn't moan too much, at least i have a job
Maria the Australia plan is Nick was born in Sydney and has family there so we are thinking of spending 3 weeks in Australia over next Christmas and New Year next year so anything in the Sealed Pot will be spending money. Got £17.70 in it so far.Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
I get the cold shoulder if i have a day off sick off work too. Not off management but work mates as they've had to do more work. And i dont even get paid sick!
Going to Oz for xmas sounds great! I would love to go there, looks gorgeous half my old school mates are out there working and loving it travelling around. Good luck on your sealed pot then hun! Great plan:DMake £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
I get it from management and my work colleagues too  When i do have a child (hopefully 2010) i am leaving there, if i haven't left already! They have no time for people who get ill or have kids that are ill.Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0

Well i made it through Monday and the !!!!!iness!
I had a bit of a panic last night though, i am normally really organised but i missed a DD off my budget this month so had £40 less than i thought i did so i have had to borrow £57 off my dad to get my council tax paid, will give him a bit back this Friday and the rest next Friday.
I cancelled my secret santa order as its not gonna get here in time so still need to find something by Thursday at 7pm! Probably going to go town Wednesday night and get something, i ordered a £10 waterstones voucher today from shopandscan to give to Nicks mum for xmas but hes just told me she doesn't want anymore books so i will probably spend that, have my £5 marks and sparks voucher too i could use. I wanted to get something good but god knows what it will be nowNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
I haven't been on MSE much this week as been a bit manic!
Wednesday night i went Christmas Shopping after work, got 2 of my friends there christmas pressies, spent £30 in boots so roughly £15 on each but got 6 presents, 2 free as on 3 for 2. I used my £5 Marks Voucher on a book for my secret santa pressie.
Thursday night was my works christmas do which ended up being free for me but i got very drunk, was sick when i got home, felt ill at work Friday (but wasn't the only one so ok!) so Friday night just went to bed and watched DVDS.
The Waterstones voucher has shown up and i am pretty sure i am giving it to Nicks Mum, he said she wasn't too keen on books for xmas as has about 10 to read but money is getting tighter now and she doesn't have to use it straight away
I ordered his step dads pressies from Amazon today using the hotukdeals application offer and a little cash so he is sorted.
Still a few more people to get for though, seems never ending.
I paid my Dad back the money i borrowed last week though today so glad thats out of the way.
Been looking into the Australia Trip, Flights are about £900 each which seems reasonable i guess, as mentioned all sealed pot cash will go towards spending money but i am guessing his family won't want to put us up for 3 weeks so would need to stay in some hotels too.
Will be an expensive trip but also the holiday of a lifetime. Nick needs to talk to his mum about it and i need to see how long i can get off work, doubt anymore than 3 weeks. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
The trip will be fantastic! Worth every penny I am sureSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Haven't updated much as not much saving/moneymaking going on at the minute just a fair amount of spending due to Christmas but its made me start spending a little as well
My motivation has waned a little over the last few weeks but hopefully in the New Year i will get back into the swing of things.
Am expecting about £150 from cashback over next 6 weeks so that should help boost things a little.
I need to get back into dooyoo, i really enjoy writing the reviews when i do them but i get stuck on things to write, i have watched a few films this weekend though i should review.
If me and Nick do go to Australia next year i might buy his ticket as his 30th Birthday present, see if his family and mine can chip in though. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Well i have finally finished the Christmas shopping yesterday! God it was such a nightmare in town though, next year i am going to be more organised, well try to be
I spent quite a bit of money on Friday as got my hair cut and dyed for £72, its pretty reasonable i think for a restyle, dye and highlights too and a blow dry, i won't go back until March now anyway. Its quite short, shortest i have had it actually but i love it, i need to wash it today and dreading it as i am useless at straightening my hair so gonna look rubbish lol.
Then went to London so train ticket was £19, spent £29 in camden and some more money on food, roughly a tenner but well i had a nightmare trip and didn't end up seeing the gig i was supposed too.
Today i am going to chill out, probably won't leave house. I ordered my new mobile today from O2, the new sony ericsson C905 so new shiney toy for Christmas for me :rotfl:
Nick can't afford to get me a pressie until new year which is a little disappointing
I am expecting £96 in cashback before end of December so hoping to have £1000 in ISA by end of year, put in £20 the other day from a scratch card and tax rebate. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
What colours do you have your hair done? So its dyed first then highlighted? Thats a pretty good price you get it for. Do you go to a well known hairdressers or a local one?
Thats rather pants about not getting a pressie till new year. Could his mum not lend him a bit to get you a little something for christmas day?Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750
