It does state in there "Membership Terms", found at the bottom of there E Catalogue home page, that if you cancel after 14 days but before 30 days thaey will give you your membership money back as long as all goods are returned unused.
I hope this helps anyone else who gets caught out as I did.

Clicked on Link in facebook, It firstly asks for your email before going through to fill in a form, at the very bottom of page is 2 lots of T&C's.
I read the first one and decided it was not suitable, so did not sign up.
The I get this email
Dear K
Firstly, thanks for your interest in First Millennium - You've made a great choice!
The great thing we hear about First Millennium is how simple it all is. Once you've submitted your details
and completed the activation fee payment your £5000 credit limit is on it's way - it's that easy.
Great First Millennium benefits include:
==> £5000 Guaranteed Credit Limit
==> £500 Cash Advance when you need it
==> 0% Typical APR on Purchases
==> Acceptance regardless of credit history
==> No Credit Checking or Employment Verification
==> Guaranteed Approval, subject to ID verification
==> Safe & Secure application form. The form uses SSL HTTPS security
to ensure your information is kept safe!
Already Tried To Process Your Application?
If you were not able to provide the activation fee or debit card details
at the time of signup, you can complete your card application when you
are able to do so by clicking here:
*******************************************8
We verify you card details by debiting the £99.95 activation fee. If
you didn't have sufficient funds in your card at the time of your application
you will need to resubmit your details again in order for your card
to be mailed.
Now as you see it clearly states first millennium and not e card.
Everybody should be reading the T&C's
It is a scam to pray on the people who do not have a lot of excess cash for getting the kids something for xmas.0 -
Hello,
yes this card is a rip off - it is not what it seems!
Like many people on this forum topic i stupidly followed a link from facebook and did not research the card and terms and conditions fully it was only after i was approved that i was advised on the £99 registration fee and £4.95 monthly fee and the fact that it can only be used on one site. I then googled it and found this forum i have since contacted eplus on 0808-234-2355 and spoke to a great gentleman called neil who cancelled my application and advised i would get a full refund of the £99 minus and admin fee of £14 and have already received an email confirming the cancellation thanfully i havent had such a bad time as some other users who have posted some horror stories here! I know in essence this is my fault as i should have done my homework before completing the process but i have paid the price - the £14 admin fee and i will not ever make the same mistake again0 -
hi guys. i fell for it too. it says about a one of payment of £99.95 which will come out of your acc 1 day after date pf application. it came out of my account 1 sec after application. i was able to phone them on 0808 234 2355 and they tried to talk me out of cancelling but i cancelled and am getting a refund of £85. apparently they keep a £14.95 application fee.0

does anybody here think facebook should remove this link from their pages too. i think they should also be held responsible for any scam to facebookers0

I have been very interested to read the numerous posts about E-Credit Plus. My husband fell for the same blurb and signed up for this account in September last year. Unfortunately he didnt tell me at the time and forgot all about it. Due to us recently opening a second bank account and also somehow receiving the confirmation letter and 'Shopping Card' but not opening it I remained unaware of this until I recently found the letter, checked our old account and found £79.95 plus 4 x £4.95 have been taken since.
Has anyone managed to cancel their account after the 30 day limit. Am I likely to be able to get any refund? In the t's and c's it says the Shopping Account will be active for 12 months and if not used a £9.95 fee will be taken as an 'Inactivity Fee'! Does this mean I can't cancel in less than 12 months?
I am writing to cancel today citing the Consumer Credit Act as advised in a recent post and will be getting in touch with my bank.
Can anyone confirm E credit plus have cancelled their account? Thanks in advance0 -
I've seen this ad on Facebook and googled it and got this discussion, needless to say I won't bother with it. A few things that have amused me on this is that everyone is calling it a scam, facebook shouldn't be advertising it etc etc.
We're all adults and blessed with a brain, it's our choice to conduct 'due diligence' before we commit to anything, the company like Provident, Quick Quid etc etc are taking advantage of their being so many people who are
a) skint
b) not intelligent
c) lacking in self control
d) desperate to get the kid a wii but their benefits only pay the booze and cigs bill, not food or entertainment.
There's no harm in making money out of other peoples plight, we all have choices and Facebook wouldn't be what it is without advertising revenue, simples!0
