well maybe so but at least its better than a bunch of benders all ganging up on me. You all should get a life and stop sucking up each others bum holes.
NO! Actually you were given perfectly good advice, unfortunately you chose not to take it in that context and instead reverted to profanities. Elky is a regular here, as is TFD and between them they help a lot of people and for a newbie to come on and start posting such filth after 3 posts is quite shocking and therefore we will all 'gang-up' on you because you are the trouble maker.
Why didn't you just accept what was told to you? At the end of the day tell me one place that charges you £39.99 or whatever to take out a credit product?
You can't can you? Therefore you should have read the terms, simple really.
That says it all. Best advice for you is to chill out or you will get banned. This site is actually fun and helpful so don't go shooting yourself in the foot now. :eek:2010 - year of the troll

It's a nice Rioja Gran Reserva. Unlike you I don't spend all my money signing up for credit scams, so it leaves plenty for the finer things in life0 -
To never in doubt,
what advice did they give us. Oh yeah read the terms and conditions that was helpful. There are alot of decent people on this site ready to help people like myself. Sorry to say that you are not one of them. You obviously take great delight in others misery. You bunch of !!!!! Don't reply if you do not have anything of use to say.0 -

Excuse me! I think you'll find i'm anything but unhelpful..... lol, won't even go there!
This thread is about ePlatinum Plus and the fact they are scammers. I do not dispute that, what I do dispute is the way you've brought about yourself - there was no need for it.
Elky told you that it was a mistake on your behlaf, you took exception to that. Its the truth - accept it. Live and learn.
You want to move forward with this? Ok, here is what you should do:
1. Get in touch with your bank and explain that you signed up to purchase something for £39.99 and the company has since made repeated purchases and you want to instigate chargeback.
2. Contact ePlatinum and remind them of the sale of goods act and in particular cancellation rights.
3. Tell them they must authorise a full refund of all monies taken to date other than the usual £5/£10 cancellation fee.
Unfortunately, as a US company small claims court is not an option. You must argue with your bank for chargeback as an unauthorised purchase/theft of details.
That is the way forward, no ifs or buts. Take my advice as you see fit.2010 - year of the troll

That is the sort of advice that we were looking for. If you look back on previous posts you will see that no one gave me that sort of advice. The advice given was to read the terms and conditions which we read the thing we were disputing was them taking an extra 5 payments out of my bank account and i came on here to see if anyone had a similar experience with this company. Yes i made a mistake in thinking they would only take one payment however i did read the terms and conditions and will not be talking down to by anyone and stand by my views that elky and tfd are bullies who think they know everything0

Right so how much did they take and when? Please list dates and amounts?
Did you actually request cancellation if so when (what date)?
Best question yet - when did you actually sign up?
Quit the abuse and i'll sort this for you - its easy to do but talk to me with the same respect i'll give you - thats all I ask.2010 - year of the troll

Okay thank you. I first realised they had taken money out on the 29th for three payments of 39.95. That money was actually my rent money. I went into my bank to ask what was going on they then informed me that a company called e credit had taken the 3 payments of 39.95. I got all details and transactions numbers from bank and phoned the company promptly i was in a queue for 20 mins I spoke to some American person on the phone explained that i wanted to cancel my contract and she said that would not be a problem. I am still waiting for a credit to go into my account. I then phoned back on sat afternoon and they told me i had another 3 debits of 39.95 so that is were we are now. I tried to phone RE Credit and they are closed at the weekend. I work all thru the week so it's going to be so hard to get somewhere with these people. The bank have cancelled my card and launched a fraud enquiry against the transactions.0 -
Ok,
So long as your bank are on top of things then you'll be ok. They cannot take 3 payments, especially not as you rung and cancelled (this will appear on your phone bill if proof is needed). However, send an email asap and date it Friday 6th November clearly stating your right to cancel is being utilised and demand a refund.
You have a right to cancel with anything, within the first 7 days and the bank must honour this as well. Therefore, what appears to be happening is instead of a refund they may have actually applied a credit thus meaning a duplicate payment.
I'd be asking my bank to grant a temp overdraft whilst this mess is being sorted out. However the way the system works means the refund may not occur for a few days so you do have to sit tight.
Bottom line is the bank have to sort this for you, worse case scenario you may be liable for one payment of £39.99 with all the others being refunded.
Good Luck - speak to your bank and send an email to ePlatinum. Don't be rude to ePlatinum cos they do, by rights, have upto 28 days to process a refund and will drag their heels if you get rude with them (however tempting that may seem)....
Let us know when you get it sorted. If you encounter problems post back with the facts and we'll sort it for you.2010 - year of the troll

Very helpful advice to Rebecca.
I had been in the process of checking info from another site.
Best of luck to you! Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.
You come here for advice, help and support- thats what I and like minded others will try to do.0
