I'd peel them, have a good sniff, maybe try a small mouthful and eat them if they pass the test. If not, they'd go in OH's sandwiches as he has a cast iron stomach!0

If I weren't pregnant (and after the hysterectomy, that would be a big surprise:eek:) I'd peel, sniff and eat if they smelt OK. But as you're pregnant, I wouldn't chance it - make egg sarnies for your OH instead. All Art is the transfiguration of the commonplace

Decided to give them a miss and am going out for lunch with some friends to pizza hut - not much different!!!0

I wouldn't eat them at all - whether i was pregnant or not....Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0

I would never chance anything in pregnancy. Infections, including food poisoning can cause premature labour. pizza hut - whilst not being known for its health-givivg properties was an excellent alternative to dodgy boiled egg. Well done and good luck for the rest of your pregnancy.earn what you can, save what you can, give what you can :hello:0

Hi
Been lurking around OS board for a few weeks, and trying to cut back on spending at Supermarkets ect. Anyway...
I got myself a Bread Maker which is saving me approx 60p a loaf atm and tastes great.
Got a slow cooker, and its Fantastic
Now I went to the local farm shop (was more a bloke who is self sufficient and sells eggs, potatoes and plants all with an honesty box!!!).
Not bad for a bloke ehhh
The question is I purchased some Free range eggs and I want to know how long they will last - A sell by date, I dont want to buy bulk only to find they only last a week.
Thanks

I don't want to give you the wrong advice, and be responsible for you going down with food poisoning, but we've used eggs from our ladies a month after lay, and they've appeared fine.
That said, I don't eat eggs, but I haven't had any complaints.0
