    I'm getting mine from a friends hens at the moment, so no best before date for me, if I think i've had them a while I will just do the water test. I use partial floaters and have never had a problem.

    Have to say the whole salmonella thing has never entered my head, and didn't when I got them from my uncle when he had hens.
    Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
