Yes, thanks.
Dhcp Enabled 'No' is one problem. It should be Yes.
The IP address and default gateway don't look right either. With DHCP enabled your router should assign an IP address in the range 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.253 to your laptop. Run the same command on your wired PC and post the results.0 -

I had a similar problem when installing my wireless router. I had to set up a screen name just for the wireless router to use. I then used my usual screen name to log on via my laptop.
Hope this helps

i used my master screen name to set up the router, and i use my user name for the laptop...im sorry to say it still does not work..thanks for your help.
if you think of anything else please let me know.0 -
Your results in post #11 indicate that Windows XP doesn't know about the wireless adapter. To repeat an earlier question: go into Control Panel - Network Connections and verify that the wireless network connection is shown and enabled. Is it?
As an aside, I was mistaken about Dhcp being a problem. Apparently AOL Broadband uses PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) and that's why PPP adapter is listed. PPP is usually for a dial-up modem connection.0 -

In Network Connections, right-click Wireless Network Connection and click Properties. On the General tab, in the 'This connection uses the following items' area is Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) listed and ticked? If it isn't, say so. If it is, click Properties. Make sure 'Obtain an IP address automatically' is selected.0
