Help please. I have been looking at the Ryanair website and when I put details in for flights they all come up with £60 taxes etc and the return flight is at the regular price. I am trying to go to Dublin from Stansed on 1st Nov and return the same day. Can anyone give me some guidance as I have never booked a flight on line before.
Thanks.

Do you not think it might have been worthwhile clicking on the big green panel that says "click here for free flights availabilty" first?0 -

Don't think you'll have much chance of a cheap flight at a weekend.
If feasible, try tues/ wed / thur. You have to be pretty flexible, on your travel dates and times, if you want to avail of the cheap ones.0 -

I'd guess make only about 10-20% of people looking for the free flights have bothered looking at the info that gives the available dates and routes on offer ....sigh0 -
For the people moaning about the 1p charge, two things, one, get a life.
Secondly, companies cannot issue an invoice for nothing, I know you don't see an invoice but their accounting/sales ledger system will internally generate/issue one. So it is issued for the lowest value possible, which is a penny.
When I see something claiming to be "free" I expect it to actually be free. It's not about the cost involved at all, it's about incorrect advertising. Free = no charge. 1p, however tiny, is still a charge.
I spent a fair amount of time checking on the site for these "free" flights only to find there isn't any. Had I known they were the 1p flights, I wouldn't have wasted my time looking for the phantom "free" flights and booked one of those instead.
You may like to go through life being mislead, but I'd prefer not to.0 -

I just got a day trip to Dublin for 1p each for 4 people each way - so 8p plus the 8quid card charge though each. Only day I could find was a Wednesday now, I've seen a few still up where you can get tax free and free flights back else you still have to fly mid week to get the 1p deals e.g. Wednesday to Wednesday but there are still some there.
Also got a weekend break to Venice for taxes of 15 quid each way and the 8 quid card charge, this was outside the dates of the tax free one but still free flights so brilliant. Will have to do another one of these just so busy next few months or I'd be going away every weekend if I could.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 234 Proud to be dealing with my debts I love the Dave Ramsey podcasts. I've managed to book flights to Oslo, going out 15th Nov and coming back 18th Nov even though the offer for the free flights states the travel period is between Tue 07th Oct 08 - Sat 15th Nov 08.
The booking did complete and now says confirmed. I booked yesterday but still have not had a confirmation email.
Ryanair wont cancel my booking will they?0 -
Luton to Biarritz doesn't end until the 2nd Jan. I found return flights both at 1p quite easily on this route. Its worth clicking through and checking the applicable travel periods.0
