Completely free flights with Ryanair (no taxes, no charges, no card fees)

  • I think it is the 1p flights that are 'free' (ie no taxes). There are some the have no ticket charge but they have taxes added on.

That can't be right as the blurb states:
Absolutely FREE, no taxes or charges. This sensational once in a lifetime offer, must not be missed. When we say FREE we mean it.

1p plus booking fees is still incredibly cheap, but it's not free. If they're offering "free" flights there should actually be free flights available. If the flights are free then there would be no booking fees, thus the free promotion blurb would hold true.

If it's the 1p flights that are on offer, then they should advertise it as 1p flights.

Usually when they offer free flights you can ask for your penny back at check in.

Although asking for it back would probably be taking MSE to a new extreme. :)
  • I agree - it is misleading advertising. It would be good if someone took them to court over the mistake. Ryanair are always more than willing to jump on any mistake we make when traveling (slightly too much baggage weight / 1 minute late for check in / not having the booking reference with you and making you get it from the sales desk and then miss your flight etc etc).

I think I remember someone saying it is because they can't put a card payment through for 0p so they have to charge something. It would be interesting to see if they do refund the 1p!

    'your session has been locked'
  • Thankyou so much to O/P. We are off to Paris for Hubbys birthday for 6p courtesy of sisters electron card. Would just say anyone going to Paris transfer by bus into Paris is 13 euros and takes an hour but still well worth it
    :j :j :j :j
  • I have an Electron card through The Co-operative Bank.

It seems the 'Free' dates vary from airport to airport. Also certain dates are 'Black Out' ie. school holidays.

Happy for members who have actually managed to clinch a deal:T
  • i tried to make a booking earlier but when it tried to take my payment it came up with "your session has been locked" so i tried to book a different date - again at the moment of paying it said session locked. I have just checked my emails and i now have 2 bookings yet it never said booking confirmed or anything when i waited for payment to go through - just session locked - does anyone rate my chances of a refund on one of the flights as i dont need 2
  • Holbrook 99, looks like we going to Milan on same dates!! maybe see you there!!
