Hi Fee! You're so right - Lunar has done an absolutely brilliant job of just about everything over the past couple of years. Wish I had her determination.

I still haven't re-tried Greg in the Bumbo - after finding it, it strangely ended up back in the garage and hasn't been seen since (DH's idea of tidying). Glad you reminded me, I'll have a look for it tomorrow. He did hate it when he was smaller though, whereas Adam had loved it. The injections were absolutely amazingly, unbelievable easy. I'd told Adam the nurse would have 2 presents for him, one for being a good boy and another for being brave. We took a couple of cars that he really wanted with us, and he sat there as good as gold and only cried a little when they stuck the needles in (which was more heartbreaking than if he'd been a little brat and screamed the place down). I think telling him all about it in advance and getting the pressies made all the difference, it would have been a nightmare otherwise.

How's your OH getting on with the agency work Lunar? Money piling in, hopefully!!!

Thanks for posting Fee, Im scared now though, is this the quiet phase? He is learning how to shout right now, he starts with low quiet noises and they get louder and louder. The louder the noise he can make the more it makes him laugh! Im saving every minute of his baby days i just find everything he does so cute. He has started sticking his tongue out at us now too.

Re the agency work panda, OH's next day off is the middle of march!!! The agency he is interviewing for on tuesday is £6 per hour more than the one he is working for now but will mean he is all over the country and will have to stay away, the shifts he is doing now mean he can come home in between.

Good thinking re the presents, ill remember that one. I feel so guilty too when something hurts DS and he just gives a little whimper, as if to say why arnt you helping me mummy? At least ive got 8 months before the next lot.

Wow, £6 per hour EXTRA - that's pretty good! Shame he won't be at home as much though, but maybe he can do a bit of both and try to make the best of both worlds. Bless him, working all those hours! Wish I could get overtime like that, we'd have our debt cleared in a few months, but there's just no such thing as regular overtime in our job.

Baba sounds like such a little sweetie! I love the cute little noises they make when they're just discovering that they can actually make noises other than screaming/whinging. Plonked Greg in the Bumbo today for 2 mins while I went to the loo and he laughed his head off, then rolled straight out of it. So mixed results...will stick it in front of the TV and see what happens.

He is working 80 hour weeks right now! He has booked some holiday days next month and is using them as days off and working locum on the weekend so i will still get to see him a bit.

Gald greg liked the bumbo more this time. I went to the loo for 2 mins and ds had managed to wriggle off his play mat, not quite sure how he did that. he has been a telly addict since birth i think. He seems to love anything thats on.

Cant wait till payday this month we should start to see some of oh's locum money come through. I know i still have plenty of debt to shift but i love seeing money in my savings accounts for the minute.

Lunar, you don't have PLENTY of debt - you used to, but now you've got quite a respectable amount of debt! It'll still be nice to get it to zero, but you've done fab - just enjoy having the savings now without any guilt.

Just got OH wage slip through, £1600 extra after tax this month!!!!!!!!!!

Will be going straight into the savings account tomorrow when we get it. cant wait to get those squares filled in, got my pencils ready. He has been working so hard recently, im glad to see it starting to pay off. We are going to look at some houses next month. That should keep us motivated to stop us spending. I cant believe we still havnt had a takeaway yet this year.

Hope all's ok with you guys, you're probably the same as me and just so ridiculously busy running around after baba that you've never got 2 minutes to post!

Great result with the savings, hope the househunting goes well.

I keep logging on but never seem to have a spare hand for typing!

I wish i hadnt gone househunting now. we found a georgeous 4 bedroom house for a good price, then went inside. it needs so much work, and would prob cost about £40000 to sort out. its reduced from £210k to £175k. it needs rewiring, new bolier, new kitcken, bathroom, several windows, new banister and new floorboards downstairs! these would be the essential jobs befor it would be safe to move in. After that there are loose slates on the roof, looks like there is some damp and most of the wallpaper is hanging off.

i know we should prob forget it but its so nice. i did tell them we wouldnt offer the asking price and left it with an offer of £140000. so we are waiting to see what happens.

Wow, how exciting! Sounds like a bit of a bargain if you can get it for that price, and sounds like a lot of work too. Especially with a baby, and your OH working every hour of the day - would certainly keep you busy!

Good to hear that all's well with you anyway - was starting to worry a little as it's not like you to keep up to date. That's more my style:o
