    Morning ladies,

It's odd to think at this time 16 years ago I was single, how time flies and the weather we have today is just like on our wedding day (apart from there was a mist in the morning). OH due back by midnight but that will depend on if the flights are back to normal.

Rach - I love my magimix - I have the absolute basic one(compact 3100) and have had it for at least 7 years. I mainly use it for cakes/scones etc. Things like pancakes I would still do by hand and somethings like pastry I would use the magimix for the rubbing in and then add the water by hand. I do also have a hand held whizzy thing (braun)which I use for soups and smoothies and it has a little bowl which I use for breadcrumbs/mincing cooked meat although I can do that in the small magimix bowl. My friend (who used to sell cakes) has a Kenwood which is great but really expensive.

    Vali - Happy Birthday.

Just going to do my dalies/packups and then wake the kids - big two not due in until9:30 today.

g&b - how is uni going? are you the eldest?

Its going really well thanks, loving it in fact. Am feeling a little bit old, but i dont think i'm the oldest. There is a middle aged guy who is in some of my courses but havent seen him that much. Generally though i am a fair bit older than most of them:o

  • Morning all - slipped for the last couple of days - but then I realised I feel much better when on top of all this - so I'm back again. Today shouldn't be too bad as I dysoned our room when I did that stairs on |Tues, and I sorted out all the shoes in Aug (got rid of 2 carrier bags to the charity shop - I feel terrible about all these things I've bought and not used - but at least someone else can use them now).

That's good as I need to get some of the food ready for Cub camp - which starts at 6.30 tonight - spag bol for 26 anyone! So I really want to leave the house looking reasonable before we go.

Good luck - and happy birthday to Valli (hope I got that right!)

Does anyone else think Heinz tomato ketchup tastes better if it comes in a glass bottle rather than the plastic squeezy things?

Why don't you all get, organise, buy, or make ONE thing this weekend in readiness for chrimbo.

Go onnnnnnnnn you know it makes sense.:rudolf:
I really don't want to think about it, but you did make me go and look in the 'present box'. So thanks, Triker because I found a few things I had forgotten I had and now know who I still need to get for.
