I'm going to watch 'who do you think you are now' whilst filing my family history notesThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Evening everyone.
DB dropped me off at work this morning then set off back to Aberdeen.
Done a lot of flying at work as I pulled everything out of a clients wardrobe an sorted it all. Thats on top of our usual flying chores.
Had a quick tidy up when I came in tonight. The place isnt too bad as Ive kept on top of it. Im working tomorrow as well so will be back flying here on Friday.
TOOTS! Great to see you back. Everyone has missed you and been thinking about you. Thats good news about the chemo.
Pigpen, TAG rach and any other poorlies. Hope you all feel better soon.
Mudbath Im pleased it went well with the home visit. Look forward to hearing about your new dog.
Off to bed my bed shortly. Hugs for everyone.0 -
Welcome back Toots! Good to see (hear?) you're in fine fettle and likely to be feeling even finer soon.
Gah, it's the study / bathroom tomorrow .... gah, gah, gah .....
On the upside today I:
Cleaned the shower
Found a toothbrush and started scrubbing the grouting ... oh so it's not meant to be orange then , this is going to take a while and some elbow grease, but I'm now happy I can do it
Cleaned the bath
Cleaned the sink
I followed Lil_Me's gran's idea of things that have no home, now have an ickle box on my desk ... aka my hotspot, LOL
I finished the ironing ... in the daylight hours
I made DD some blueberry muffins for her snack on Friday and bribed her for reading so well with them (it worked).
On the downside:
I looked UP in the bathroom to see the most horrendous cobwebs ever.
My office is covered in dust due to DIY
I have at least 6 massive piles of things to be dealt with in here (study), they all make me feel guilty, but not enough energy to actually tackle them .... so tomorrow I'm aiming to tackle one of them.
I also told myself I would clean the windows in my office when it came around this week ... we'll see, we'll see ... at least get them dusted I think
My DH has put the most awful handprints on my hall door linings .... first thing you see when you enter the house ... NICE ... NOT!
My DH has got paint all over a white towel ... thanks dear.
I think he's kinda wanting to destroy what I clean ... vandal !GC - March 2024 -0 -

Pigpen - healing thoughts for you - hope you're on the mend
Hugs, prayers and thoughts for everyone who's under the weather
mudbath - great news on the dog
toots - good to have you back and great to hear things are looking good
Thought I was getting a cold last night but it hasn't come to anything .... yet!!!
The children at school seem to have a few sniffles and I also think it must be a full moon or something cos 8 of the primary dept were off the wall today   although this afternoon was better than the morning.
Not done a lot of flying but am keeping kitchen clean and tidy and not letting the washing up build up or piling stuff on the surfaces.
Watching Who Do You Think You Are and then thinking about heading off to bed."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
"I'm feeling like a Monday but someday I'll be Saturday night" - Bon Jovi0 -
Zed - dont be hard on yourself - it didnt get in a mess overnight and will take just as long to get tidy - be patient - do a little more every week and things soon look better - I have found such a difference.
Your desk sounds like what my kitchen table was - it is daunting but just set your self 15 min challenges and then go and do something else - that way you dont get disheartened and sometimes I found that once I had actaully started the 15 mins became 30 mins no problem - if its a mixture of paperwork try to take a bundle and sort it out into filing, to deal with or rubbish - its amazing just going through the piles and shredding the rubbish can reduce the pile a lot!!!
you will get there - just baby steps remember!!!
