How exciting Mudbath, will you current doggy be ok with a new mutt on the scene?

Back from a nice soaking on the school run.

DS3 room all wiped so going to do DS1's next. I'm finding wiping them easier when I don't need to hoover and change the beds at the same time.

Pigpen, Nicki, Rach - hope you are all feeling better
Toots - hope everything went well

Serena - I am a HR consultant - mostly doing nasty stuff so feel free to PM me. Lots of horrid stuff about at the moment sadly.

Not long back from work, so far I have had a tidy of the kitchen shelves but not much else done. I do envy people with a real kitchen with cupboards and everything. Mine is open plan shelving so usually looks a mess and you can never find anything. Doing upstairs before the kitchen so will be like that for the foreseeable future. Ooh, worktops. I dream about worktops.... and not rusty sinks..... Pointless shining a sink when you cant get the rust stains off.

Greenbee - get a cat! Mine eat the spiders quite happily so we dont get that many. Or, My parents bought a house with apalling woodworm some years ago, had to have the treatment people in and keep the house empty for 24 hours, but they never had flies or spiders or insects again.

and on the subject of shoes my lovely MIL ought some Fitflops about six months ago which are meant to improve your posture and slim your calves - suprisingly she can now fit into knee high boots which she couldn't before. I am very tempted

Mudbath fingers crossed for you, would you be all prepared for a new arrival this weekend?

Well after doing clicks, surveys, pigpoints etc I finally moved off here and off the sofa and did -
WM on and emptied, hung up and reloaded
    DW emptied
    kitchen decluttered
surfaces and lower front doors wiped
    floor swept (will mop later)
made fish pie one for tea the other for the freezer
    collected girls from school

Once cuppa finished going to make sausage rolls with DD2 and then tackle the ironing.

I'll second that! My parents cat is regularly seen with a leg hanging out his mouth:eek:

Ah yes but cats also poo in strange corners, climb up your curtains, attract fleas, walk all over your nice clean work surfaces and get under your feet 24/7. They also demand stroking, feeding, brushing, worming, spraying, neutering, walk on your newspaper/magazine, dabble in the fish tank, trample on you and the children when everyone is fast asleep and to sit on your lap at all times. They don't just catch spiders either.. in fact none of mine catch spiders.. they do howver bring home.. racing pigeons stolen from someones pigeon loft, bats, rats, mice, hamsters, snakes, fish, squirrels and fish skins from the local chippy. My little one chews up slugs.. which means I am having to have her checked for lung worm every time the stupid thing coughs.

    great news mudbath :)

I went on a little trip out this aft on the bus to the new wilkos (lol I sound like an old lady). Got a few bits but it wasn't as cheap as I remember - probably london wilkos prices! Still, I got a baking tray and a roasting tin that will do for toad in the hole, plus some reduced persil tabs etc. Might become a monthly sat am jaunt i think. I am shattered now though and wondering how i'll manage to work tomorrow, but I think I'll just do the morning which is when the walking group is. bit of a faff to get there but once i'm there it should be fine.

DH has been home early and gone out to the dentist, which reminds me I need to strike off my list. fish pie from the freezer (batch cooked last week) tonight with veggies so nice and easy.
