know what you mean TAG, hard to just sit still. DH keeps telling me I need to learn how to do nothing. I'm not quite ill enough to be flat out but not well enough to be normal at the moment!

I was good for nothing this morning. DS(13) bless him, did DD's breakfast and made her lunchbox for me. I just about managed to get her and me dressed and take her to school. Luckily it's literally right next door otherwise she might have had a day off.:o

It's amazing how helpful they can be when mummy is ill. Why can't it be like that all the time:rolleyes:

I don't want or feel like doing too much. But if I do nothing the house will be a pit by the weekend. Gonna ring work in a bit to let them know I won't be in tomorrow. That'll please them - not.

Thanks for all the positive vibes everyone. Tag - we're really hoping to get a dalmatian but the rescue centre for them have to come and check we're suitable. I don't think they tell us for a week or two so i'm going to be on pins for a while. Right, off to fly, fly, fly xx

Thanks cha97michelle, rach and polkadot for my update on missed meetings.... feel much better now!!!

Polka... I guess that'll be why he's an 'ex' (amongst other reasons I'm sure!) My DH was so stunned when I gave birth bless him, he just kept telling me how how amazing I was! And on my card with my flowers, he put "you were magnificent" I still get choked by that! :o

Right, down to it I guess....

    So far, I've:
    walked the pooch
    been to the bank
bought dog food from pet shop
    had an eye test
    set the V+Box
    S&S the Kitchen
    Unloaded and Re-loaded the DW
Cleaned little table of DD3's breakfast remnants!

and.... Managed to delete important answer machine message from the police about a reference provided by DH for a member of his staff whoops!

I went to morrisons this morning and got 5 Philips energy saving light bulbs for 50p (39p each or 5 for 50p) :D They have them with either bayonet or screw fittings and are supposed to be the equivalent of 60w bulbs. Now wondering whether to replace the regular bulbs or wait til they blow!

Personally, I'd replace them now .. you've paid for the ones from Morrisons and the "regular" ones will be costing you more money every time you put them on.

Right, my HHI turned into a Hour I (HI?) ... but the flipside is ... I have an empty ironing basket :j and there is no ironing left on the airers or the line either :j:j.

DH has woken up, feeling "faintly" better, so gave him the ironing to put away (it was on hangers .. and mainly his shirts, so only fair methinks!)

This morning, I haven't done a load from my list but I have caught up on a few things (including trash daytime tv whilst ironing! I haven't see daytime tv in eons!)

    So, my list has included:

    Watering the tomatoes
Then deciding to harvest most of them and getting rid of all bar 6 plants (and only because I've just remembered that there are 2 outside of the greenhouse, D'oh!)
Disposing of a slug who looked way too comfortable in said greenhouse
    Washing DH's DIY clothes
Emptying and cleaning the WM filters after said wash
Hot wash with soda crystals and bleach
Recycling put into hall to remind me to take with me on the way to pick DD up this arvo
Some of DH's company finances :) (About time too!)

Put like that, it doesn't look a lot, but I'm sure it is and I haven't stopped until now, so ah well .... time for a brew, a shower and then it'll probably be time to the recycling run and pick up DD.

Then this afternoon, I intend to do some baking and sit down with DD and a) get her reading done before we both despair and b) get her to work out who exactly she would like to come to her party ....
