Ooh, i'd love some MBTs, meant to be great.
DH spent a load of money on Royal Opera membership yesterday so maybe i'll ask for some for that festival which is still ages away....;)Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
For those looking for Farm Foods, their website www.farmfoods.co.uk has a store locator on it. We don't have one near me, have a Herons a few miles away but there is one near where I have the caravan I have just found so may pop in when I am there.
((hugs for all the poorlies)) so many at the mo, I still blame it on the kids, when they go back to school there is always loads of bugs flying about, I've had this cold since they went back and it's getting on my nerves!
jackie I did post about the spiders thing, chesnut oil and conkers
Right, today, DS2s bed stripped at 6am as he wet it, takes 2 washer loads with his pads and duvet so first one is in, washerload I'd set away last night on the line (not exactly warm but not raining so thought I'd try it) his rooms tidy still other than that. DS1s room I hardly dare look in, I think I will enlist his help this evening in there. Kids to school, dogs been walked, DW nearly finished so will empty that next. Oh yes, sideboard, will have to try to get that picked today, hope I find one thats ok, I hate shopping
Need to do some notes for tomorrows pre conference meeting, must remember to remind people about parking, it's a good feeling being part of such an important conference, but a lot of pressure all the same. Need to get things right! Oh and I want to pick where I am sitting because I hate my illnesses causing interuptions
Does anyone know where sells good boxes for storing A4 size books? My OU books are scattered between small boxes they don't fit in and are getting on my nerves. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -

Think i had some cardboard ones from Ikea ages ago, but maybe woolies or wilkos? depends how big you want them? as in how many to get in each one...Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Welcome back greenbee - hope your father is better soon.
valli - I want your glass of wine smiley!! (Actually, I really just want the glass of wine. I've just finished the last bottle of Bordeaux that we brought back from holiday - on Monday night that is, not this morning!! All the rest of the bottles in the rack belong to other members of the family, so technically are not mine to drink. Suspect that OH will let me have his though! Really need a day trip to France...)
rach - I did a spell of 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours drive each way for just a few months a couple of years ago, and also when I was visiting Mum last autumn, and really found it exhausting, and I was ending up ill. Is there any possibility of moving closer? I know that you haven't been at the job all that long and it's one you really wanted, so appreciate that you wouldn't want to change it.
dusty - glad you're feeling better now. Both sons still home, but I'm feeling okayish, although not 100%. How were the dahlias? My three also like your 14 yr old - made me laugh!
pigpen - gentle hugs, and get better soon wishes.
TAG - look after yourself, and I hope you feel better very very soon.
I'm not bothered by spiders either, so I always get to remove the 'tarantulas' that the rest of the family comnplain about. I only really dislike walking round the side of the house and walking into a web - yuk.I now walk round there doing some weird combination of nazi salute and arm waving to hit the webs before I walk into them. Amuses the neighbours.
As you'll have realised, the supply didn't work out this morning, but I may get a day on Friday. I'm not that bothered as it would have meant cancelling a contact lens check up, and DS1 has a physio appt at the hospital this pm.
Hex - if you're around, is it you that's a whizzkid with HR things, and redundancy? I'd like some feedback sometime if you wouldn't mind please. I'll pm you.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Just to make sure I'm relevant....
Main bedroom linen in washing machine, and just about to spin. Will now go do the washing up, then run hoover around upstairs.

Hugs piggers - hope you're feeling better soon.
Dusty - I love my MBTs. I have a disc problem and was on strong painkillers everyday. They had started to make noises about more xrays and a possible operation. DH bought me some MBTs and 11 months ago and i've not (touch very large pieces of wood) needed painkillers since. It shows that my posture was making my back worse. The only thing i'd say is don't wear them for long the first few days and bear with them as you feel a bit wobbly to start with. Also, go somewhere they fit them properly.
I'm not doing the children's room - they make the mess so they sort it. So, lots of little mini declutters today starting with the tupperware cupboard. At the moment I open it and everything falls on me.
Hugs to all xx0 -
We are a right bunch aren't we. DS and I were down all day yesterday. Got the stairs done but I didn't bother with the SR as it all looked okay and will come around with pc area anyway.Get wells for all the poorlies-Im not loving it so you must not be either.
Welcome back greenbeeglad you had a good time.
Nicki hope the itches go away soon
Denisefowlerwell done for getting your list down so much, it looks good.
Is it my imagination or are we missing Johanne again?
Tootssaid six days (post to Valli re holiday),been in my thoughts lots
Have done all my dailies today (including second load in WM so hamper now empty). Haven't started cake yet so dedicating most of today to that. Have friend coming by later today or tomorrow for a visit. Its one of those nice ones where I can work around the visit so it won't interfere with the schedule.
Really need to make time for some BL today-Im definately slacking there...please could someone kick me every so often. I think Im not doing it because subconciously Im scared of failing (or perhaps succeeding).
Very concerned about dad at the mo, their ministers of finance, defence and public enterprise resigned yesterday, among others. The "other" camp is playing it down and saying those people are willing to be reappointed, but knowing the history Im not so sure about that...I dont think the analysts are either. Last week we exchanged the maintenance money for DS and got £200. Yesterday we did last months (same amount) and got £160:eek:0 -
Good morning, all y'all!
Well, again didn't manage to get everything done - but a little more than yesterday!
Gave the carpets a good vacuum through (especially under, around and behind things - which sometimes gets "forgotten"...), dusted the shelves and bookcases for the first time in ages, and also managed to fill two big carrier bags with stuff for the bin which was just hanging about. Also managed to finally bag up and store a load of old bubble-wrap which had been knocking about in the dining room for ages
Maybe doesn't sound like much - but all things I might not have done otherwise. Especially the dusting.....
For today, then, I shall be mostly looking to do:
Clear away various clothes and such piled up waiting to be put away
Vacuum the floor - including around and under things
Dust shelves, cupboard tops, light shade, window surround and curtain tracks
Clean windows and sills
Fill a bag with clothes we don't wear, take up the charity shop. BE BRUTAL.
Look through winter gear, see if anything needs airing/dry-cleaning before it gets really cold...
Clean doors, frames and skirting boards
I will also be having a good think about cupboard/drawer space in the bedrooms - do we have enough? If not, what to be done about it? Payday today, so possible trip to furniture shop at the weekend. That having said - if a lot of the cr*p gets taken to the charity shop, there just might be enough space as-is....
Let's see how it goes, then!
Wishing you all a happy, busy and productive dayOh come on, don't be silly.
It's the internet - it's not real!0 -

Hi Lil me,
Yip, got your post about the spiders, will need to get some conckers and chestnut oil, but, dont think I will be able to get it today. Still trying to pluck up the courage to attack the spare room:eek: . Serves me right for being a lazy so and so in the first place and not putting the stuff back whem I took it out.
Thanks Lil me for the tip, will defo try that.

Thanks for all the healing vibes and kind words.
Dusty - I hope I don''t get a cold/virus on top that'll just about finish me off I think.Mind you felt achy and hot yesterday morning and thought I was coming down with something. But then that might have been the start of the IBS flare up or both I suppose.
I've managed to drag myself round the kitchen and wipe down the surfaces and load DW. Tidied the LR as well. It needs a hoover and the kitchen floor needs a sweep and mop but I'm going back to my sick bed for a bit. Worn myself out.
