well when i go into 'free emoticons and try and copy and paste smilies they don't work.It just pastes the wording and not the image.I just noticed it says they are 'smlies' for outlook and I got Outlook express.
Office for windows xp costs a lot doesn't it????
As i said we put office 97 in and i don't think this new pc liked it as it kept freezing etc. so we took it out

well why dont you just save smillies from here, right click save image/picture as, make sure you save it as a gif file, then insert as a picture into Outlook Express
Just to make clear. OE is to send recieve emails, IE is to see websites
OE=Outlook Express, IE, Internet Explorer.

If you have any more problems post in the Techie Forum as this thread is really about the servers..... :beer:0 -
Save smilies from various sites, put then into your docs. When you want to put one in an e-mail make sure your cursor in in the message part of the e-mail, click on the picture icon in the toolbar, a little window will appear which gives you the choice to browse for the location where you stored the smileys, just click on the browse button then click on the location then click open click on the one you want then click ok, go on give it a shot, it's fun.kazzy wrote:I got a new pc and it's got outlook express onit-not outlook.Now I can't do my smilies!!!!!! BOO hoo.And no spellcheck.
We put an old version of Microsoft office 97 in to get spellcheck but it 'buggered 'up our pc so now we've had to go back to this preinstalled OE and it's not as good.
Any ideas oh clever techie person!!!!!!!!!0 -

I spoke a bit too soon. The speed of the site is still pretty quick :rotfl:, but I can't post a successful reply without clicking Back and submitting it again due to the "Database Error" screen. In fact, I just posted a reply to another unrelated thread and I had to click back three times before it submitted correctly.tigermatt wrote:Site seems to have sped up now, although I do get the occasional Database Error message. tigermatt
Note to everyone: Whilst there are these database errors, I recommend you copy your post before you submit it (especially if it is a long one) onto your clipboard (highlight all Ctrl + A then copy Ctrl + C) incase you get a database error message and you click Back and it has gone. (Sometimes it has, sometimes it hasn't)
