Saving By Ignoring The "Offers"

Tesco had some sort of ready meal deal the other week.
2 for £3 or £1.39 each
They were right next to the reduced section I was looking in, hence noticing how silly it was.
I made some kind of jokey comment to the manager/supervisor chap that was near by and he looked at it, smiled and walked off.

Exactly the same price as the cereal 98p each or 2 for £2. lol0 -
The other week tesco had a litre of robinsons squash for 80p - or two for £1.80
I am tempted to (one day when I've got time to argue the fact if need be, lol) buy one of these non- bargains and then ask for the "per piece" price at the checkout. When they try to charge me the "deal" price, explain that I'd like them at the single price not the deal.
Just to see what happens. :rotfl:0 -
Noticed in Tesco yesterday they had small boxes of Ready Brek for £1.27 each or 2 for £3 !!0

Were any of these offers a Mix 'n' Match with other products? If so, then the offer price would apply when lower price products are bought with higher price products.0

It seems now that their argument is that when this pricing anomaly occurs it is usually on easily perishable foods so a bigger box will go off more quickly.
That is rubbish, dont fall for it - keep checking the price per kg and price per litre.
Lets get something back off these food giants who are ripping us off.Keep trying.........................what else is there to do?

My mum says some of the smaller sized packets/jars etc are cheaper per 100g or ml than the larger ones. The example she used was their own brand coffee granules and a cereal. Plus the smaller box of cereal fits in the cupboard and the larger doesn't!"The reason we're successful, darling? My overall charisma, of course." -- Freddie Mercury
