A good sandwich toaster is Ace but they take time cleaning. They also live behind a ton of other stuff on the top shelf. ( Even when you leave them out the will return to there hard to reach nest )

How many do you get for a £1? Thanks.0 -
Saw the JML branded ones in Asda today but will have a look in poundland before I buy them.I hate migraines.0

These are recommended for coeliacs like me as well as we can make toasties with our gluten free bread without contaminating them with ordinary bread crumbs that get left in the toaster.
I keep meaning to buy a pack, I will put them on my shopping list for tomorrow now.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I saw some the other day on Boots in the clearance section. I can't remember how much they were , but they were reduced a lot. I didn't bother as I am sure they wouldn't fit in the slot of my toaster. And I have a toasty maker anyway. I store mine on end so it fits into quite a small space in the cupboard.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

I just tried them again today, this time at work, chicken and cheese and it worked a treat again. Had a few fellow workers looking at me weird when i put the bag in the toaster, then they were eyeing off my lunch.
I know they're not for everyone, but for me its fantastic. I won't be using them for chips or burgers it even says in the book, purely just for toasted sandwiches.
To me i have an ordinary toaster, just 2 slots, doesn't expand or anything, same with the one at work, but i managed to fit it in okay when flattening the bread down a bit. The toast didn't burn and the cheese was melted how i like it.
The booklet does say to toast on a lower heat and maybe more than once, rather than at a high heat/quicker time. My toasted at home i set at #4 let it run through once, then put it down again and stopped it half way through.
I also have a super tiny kitchen, 2 people cannot prepare seperate meals, hence cupboard space is limited. So for me 2 little bags wins over having a toasted sandwich maker taking up more space in my cupboards.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
i read this thread yesterday and my boyfriend saw an advert on tv for them yesterday and both wanted to get them as we no longer have a sandwich toaster due to them being a pain to clean.
bought a pack of 2 JML ones for £3.99 in woolies today, they also had a pack of 4 for £5.99
will give it a go tomorrow lunchtime with a cheese and ham toastie0 -
My mum raves about these. She buys reduced cheese sandwiches and freezes them. When she gets home from work puts them in the bags from frozen. She works in a supermarket and gets the reduced sandwiches for something like 10p? I always thought she was mad - but maybe I'll look out for them. I would be interested to know if the pound shop ones are the same?0

I bought two bags from Boyes (local discount store in the north) for 1.99. Cheese toastie great - corned beef toastie not so good - the corned beef didnt heat up inside the bread. Maybe Id put too much in. But they are worth the money. Also I have just a standard toaster and they fit in okay...0
