  • Morning all! Another gloriously sunny day here, hooray!

Meanmarie - thinking of you and your oh, you are both in my prayers xx

Celyn - good luck with the job applications, keeping fingers crossed!

Sybil - fantastic news about taking your little bear out on your own, well done, you have made such a big step I hope you are feeling very pleased with yourself xx

Penpin - £400? Hair extensions? Eek! Sorry, but I think your sis is nuts! Never mind who's paying for it, that is a huge amount of money, and fake hair makes my skin crawl, and as for having someone else's hair stuck on, ohh I can't even think about it!

Will be roast something for lunch, forgot to get anything out of the freezer, so will grab something in the shop when I take dd2 to get her new hamster - just realised how that sounds, will be going to Sainsbugs, not buying a budgie to roast!

Need to bake some more rolls for lunches next week and some treats for lunchboxes, and get ironing done and keep on pegging out and getting the washing off the line.

Got some seeds yesterday, local garden centre had them all reduced to 50p a pack, so got some bits for next year and some kale and something else that I can plant out now for the winter, so will put oh on the case of clearing the raised bed that had the potatoes in.

Other than that I shall be pootling about later, prob with a nice glass of red in hand. Hope everyone has a good day xx

    Its afternoon already
Where has the morning gone, hmmm disapeared under a mountain of washing,
not ours this lot is my Mum's, we went yesterday as usual and she looked awful, she called the doc in on Friday as she was'nt feeling too good, and was having trouble walking.
She never told me any of this until I got there yesterday, even when I rang her on Thursday. I felt so guilty and I had seen her on Tuesday, and not a word.
The outcome is she has a chest infection, and gout....she was most indignant....."I told the doctor I dont drink" she said, but apparently to have gout you dont need to drink, its something to do with some sort of acid?

meanmarie hope all goes well for you and OH for the scan xx

OH is driving me  today he keeps coming in and out like a man demented, if he interupts me 1 more time I'll  just because he is still doing jobs and I have finished.........losing battle this is.

I am off to cook Lunch, Porksteaks HUGE ones, done on George, with mushrooms, beans, baked spud, onions and fresh tomatoes dry fried.

    Back later

Wanted to wish good luck to meanmarie and her DH at the hospital today.

Dashing about making Sunday lunch - huge Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes and parsnips, savoy cabbage and asparagus and mushy peas with a shoulder of pork ( slow cooked first then put in oven to crisp).

As DD is home this weekend I wanted everything to be perfect- so of course I got confused with the oven and lunch will be a bit late!!!

Will decant some home made elderberry syrup into a small bottle later so DD can take some back with her, as well as a hot water bottle, home made lentil pate and some books that I think she will enjoy.

Her birthday is in late October so hoping she will be home for that. Have already given her her main pressie of GHDs as she needs to look well groomed for job intervews.

Found a good deal on amazon of the first series box set of "Criminal Minds" so I have ordered this for her as I know she will like it and it gives her something to open on the day.

Just nipping off to check on the oven!

    Hugs to all!

  • Afternoon Guys!

    (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Meanmarie & OH)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Have had a very slow start this morning, but feeling a little more with it now.

OH made a lovely omelette with onion, mushroom and cheddar this morning with a slice of bread and butter and it went down well. WM has been on and now all caught up with. DW has been on and emptied.

DD just about to have some lunch then off to friends. All HW has been done and checked and uniform all ready to go for the morning. She has Tuesday afternoon off for exams being held at the school, so she is happy about that.

We are just having baked spuds for dinner and leftovers from yesterday as I cant be bothered to do a roast, so may have one tomorrow. The Remoska is excellent for the baked spuds and they come out so crispy and fluffy inside...delish!!

I agree with everyone about my sisters waste of money on the extensions and her loser BF. I get so annoyed when I think about it, so try not too.

Anyway, I hope everyone is well.

    Have a great day guys!
