Morning all

Hugs to those in need today.

Cat - Been there with the Ex/kids thing - it does sort itself out but it is heartbreaking in the mean time when you're torn between knowing they don't want to go - but knowing that they probably should to knowing that you'd love some time without them but know you'll miss them like crazy when they're gone......Hope it all goes ok, enjoy your lunch.

Beth - I don't do any of the dancing shows either - really not my cup of tea, so you're not alone. :D

Been very stressy here for the last few weeks and DD2 finally sat her 11+ exams Thurs/Fri and her school entry exams yesterday - she's not feeling very confident and I'm not sure she's going to pass but she gave it her best which is all we could ask for. The relief last night was amazing and she spent the entire evening sobbing. DD1 thought she'd join in with some preteen hormonal "it's not fairs" combined with "no one understands me" as a chorus......combined with DH and a dose of man-flu...it's jolly good fun here  .

Todays plans.....finish the last bit of ironing, get banking up to date, cook dinner (baked mince/meatloaf style offering with roasties and yorkies), make rolls for lunch boxes, make a batch of muffins/cakes dependant on what what everyone fancies, photograph 10 items for ebay.... Will try and get out for a walk at some stage too as I'm feeling quite pent up and need to unwind.

DD2 and DH both have the day off tomorrow so will be hoping the lovely weather lasts so we can go for a wander along the beach and collect some shells.

Hope you all have a fab sunday.

Morning all

Wont be much OS going on in the pipkin household today, as we're off to the science museum, which means another long day.

I do need to make a start on sewing some single throws together to make them into doubles, as both DDs have double beds, and these will end up being stored at the bottom of the cupboard - or given away, if I don't do something with them.

meanmarie, hope your husband is feeling better this morning.

Have a good day all.

MSD - I have an idea I can guess what your puss-cat has done - did it involve some sort of small rodent or something with feathers? Leo is soooo desperate to kill now (but still too scared of outside to do anything about it:rolleyes: ) that he has started lurking on the stairs and attacking my leg when I pass and trying to climb the living room curtains - and he's a BIG boy! Squiggly - Leo sleeps on my bed every night just to avoid the situation you mentioned. Not that he rules my life..............much!:rotfl:

Meanmarie - I hope things are looking up for you....hugs.

I fell into the Strictly trap last night too - that's Saturday nights dealt with until Christmas for another year! Thoroughly enjoyed it though!:D

More cleaning, tidying and gardening today, then a trip to my sister's for cake as my niece is 7 today!!!! Happy birthday Sophie!:T

I'm loving this weather!!

Have a good Sunday.

Catowen - hope everything goes well today

Meanmarie - (((((hugs)))))

Well my plans of doing the ironing yesterday didn't happen  My homework took 6 hours longer than planned  And it's not even finished yet  Still I did all the washing in preparation - just the bedding to do today, and I need to stick a loaf of bread in the panny.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

It's lovely here again, a bit chilly but if it's anything like yesterday it will be very pleasant.

MEANMARIE hope your OH is better soon, big hugs to both of you.
POPPY happy birthday to your D Neice.
BETH well done on the room, wish I had your motivation! Need to seriously de-clutter before I can do any decorating.

Taking DS swimming later. Sis-in-Law and her OH are coming around for dinner. OH is cooking roast lamb, with garlic and rosemary, with HG veg. Rice pudding done in the SC to follow with HM strawberry jam. Also need to do homework with DS.

Have a good day all.

:hello: Good morning!

Just a quick one from me this morning

Hope everyone has a good day.

Catowen - ((((HUGS)))), hope all goes ok today. Glad your DS had a good day yesterday apart from the football match!

Meanmarie - I haven't read the rest of yesterday's thread yet but it sounds as if you and your DH both need some ((((HUGS))))

Church for me this mornng, then as it's a lovely day again will get some more washing done. I'd like to have a go at planting a few bulbs, even if it leaves me kn@ckered, but we've got squirrels around and I'm sure they'll dig up anything I plant  so I haven't bought any! The little front garden looks a tip as it's been so long since we felt up to doing anything with it. The upside is that the Michaelmas daisies are running riot and the bees love them, so we keep deadheading the daisies so they last as long as possible :D - it's good to see the bees, as there haven't been many about this year.

dinner will be pasta with HM tomato and basil sauce with some bits of chopped up smoked bacon thrown in :p

Right, I'm off to have something to eat and read the rest of yesterday's thread!

Best wishes

Meanmarie - very sorry to hear your news (((hugs)))

Upstairs clean today which will include thorough sweep of bedrooms, bathroom & office, mending the PC, sorting out winter clothes and chucking out at least 25 things (a la Flylady).

Didn't go round to making the butternut squash & lentil soup yesterday so will do that today. We have visitors so going to the local pub for lunch - only £4.95 per head for a massive lunch which will fill us up for the rest of the day :D

morning all,

I have a bit of a fragile head today after the party last night, so everything today will be done at half speed and quietly :o . Had a good time though and I think my mum enjoyed coming over to sit with dd, now dd is getting older she does not see her nan as much, my mum used to have her every day for me, so its nice they can spend some time together.

Marie, I do hope all goes well with your DH, he is in the best place where he will get the best attention, give him and yourself a big hug from me, and please keep us posted xx

Roast lamb, roasties and home grown veg for dinner (Diva I love saying that too :D )

Other than that not a lot will be done today, I would like to get out and see if I can get dd a snuggly fur throw for her bed, as she has nicked mine and the nights are getting colder now. I would also like to get some more blackberrys the place we found last week was full of huge lovely ones so might go back, I hate to see them go to waste.

OH and I went out walking yesterday, and saw a huge herd of deer, there must have been about 30 of them, we also saw 2 huge lady pigs who had a litter of piglets each, they were in a fenced off area in the woods and came over to say hello to us, the piglets were so cute one of the litters were tiny, one lot were black and one lot pink, they were digging in the earth with their snouts, sooooo cute.

Sistercas good luck to your dd, been there done that with my dd, got up at 6.30 every sunday for over a year, hope your dd wins xx

Beth well done on getting the room done, what a lovely mum you are, what did your dd say ?
(I am not into strictly either)

oh forgot to say while we were out walking yesterday we came across a stall outside someones house with an honesty box, all fresh goodies from the blokes garden, so i bought two bags of beautiful toms for 50p each, and they are delicious, and a bunch of beutiful flowers for £1, I would have bought more but we ran out of money, so will go back, he had cucumbers, squashes, and pumpkins too.

Well I have moiliered a bit today, more tea and some toast needed, hugs to all.

Have good days xx
