So the left over money of £209.48 per month has to go on debts, saving, or decorating.
I am going to budget £50 per month of this money for decorating and £39.48 per month for the emergency fund/savings etc. The remaining £120 per month is going to go on debts. We will see how this pans and change accordingly.

Hi Money Fritter,
I enjoy reading about your money saving ways, but could you tell me
why is your road tax only £36 per year?
Thanks BooskyebooWW start date 31/8/2011 :j
weight lost so far:- 32lbs :T0 -
Hi MF,
Well done on getting below the 17K mark. Also, you seem very organised for the New Year with all your challenges - I am impressed.
I have joined the 2012 Olympic challenge and am going to try and clear my unsecured debt by the start of the 2012 olympics.
Hope you have a lovely Christmas.

Hi Booskyeboo,
Hope you are well.
My road tax is only £36 per year because my car is in the lowest emission bracket. It is an untrendy fiat panda 1.3 turbo diesel. However, I bought it just under two years ago because it does about 68mpg and I do a lot of miles to and from work.
Happy christmas everybody, hope everybody is well. I ventured out today just to get a birthday present that I had totally forgotten about. I am glad I was not out for long as the shops were chocka. Just at home at the parents now, chilling out. Been here for two days now. Yesterday went for a lovely walk along the sandstone trail. Nothing but blue skies and lovely views and snow, it was great.
Anyway better go, take care everybody and merry christmas and a happy new year.

Hi Money Fritter.... :xmassign:
You should have got up extra early to do the presents before your Mum left for work lol Errrr... no I wouldn't either haha! I'm sure the wait will have been worth it.
Hope you've had a good day, enjoy the rest of your time off
ps...well done on getting WELL under 17k :TInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Hello Moneyfritter
I have been dipping into your diary over the past couple of days and am really impressed by the way you have grasped the nettle and got on with reducing your debt. Would you mind me asking how does matched betting work. It could be the answer to my problems as I have very little disposable income to clear about £16,300 worth of debt.
Is there a guide to it somewhere on the site.
Regards

Hi Mrs Ramotswe,
Matched betting is a low risk gambling loophole. There is a thread on the forum, it is under gambling loopholes. There is lots of stuff to read and get your head around it, but I thought it was worth it. But remember if you get it wrong you can lose your own money, so be careful and dont put in more than what you can afford.

Well hi everybody,
Hope everybody is good and a happy new year.
I am afraid to say but mine has not been great, even though I tried to put on a brave face.
New year was even worse, this morning I have been dumped by text by my girlfriend. Apparently, she said she does not want any relationship at the moment and needs her space after confessing that she loved me and I was perfect for her about two months ago.
Oh well such is life. So I come home two days early from my mums and did some decorating.
I hope my challenges start well, really need to get cracking this year, I am well sick of life.
