    Hi everyone,

Had a good night out in Newcastle last night. It was the badminton christmas party. We went for a meal and then went out for a few drinks in some pubs and clubs. It did get a bit messy when we started drinking tequila slammers and sambuca. Managed to get home about 3:30.

Went to badminton club today, to sweat off the alcohol :rotfl:

Just doing some jobs around the house tonight and this week ready for christmas. It is my last week in work and then I have two weeks off. Going home to see my family. So I best get doing some chores. My tasks for today are:-

    [STRIKE]1) Ironing[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]2) Washing[/STRIKE]
    3) Clean downstairs bathroom
    4) Clean upstairs bathroom
    5) Clean Kitchen
    6) Clean living room
    7) Dust and hoover
    [STRIKE]8) Sort and shred paperwork[/STRIKE]

    Right better get to it.

Tequila should be banned..evil stuff..I can remember a mate's party back in 2003, I started the night with one bacardi breezer and then I went onto the 'non-alcoholic' fruit punch not realising that it was a long way from being non-alcoholic and then I stupidly started on the tequila slammers (I cannot stand tequila), I was told the next day that the fruit punch had more booze in it than Majestic Wines and I noticed that the strawberries had been bleached white:eek: Alcohol poisoning isnt good at all ..I had to leave my car at the house and stagger home after first consuming several rehydration drinks. That episode put me off drink for life:rolleyes:

When you have finished your housework, do you fancy coming round to do mine? I am trying to sort out the dining room table and when I have cleared it, will fold the table up (its a camping table) and lift the rug and put a new one down.
  • Morning everyone,

Last week in work, woohoooo :j

However, got loads to do. I did some stuff on the list last night but got distracted by the x-factor, which I always say I am not going to watch. lol

Anyway I wont get much done tonight as I have a badminton match, but hopefully tommorow I can get some more things crossed off the list.

That's me aswell !!! I always get hooked the last few weeks when the decent people are left. I think Sat & Sun Xfactor were fantastic, the acts they had on n stuff, it was a really good show.

Sounds like you had a fun night and I just cannot believe you went to badminton the next day  When I go out I have to spent the next day dying on the sofa, eating junk food...probably why I don't drink much!

I hope your week flies by and you enjoy your 2 weeks off  Are you all sorted for xmas?

  • Hi Money Fritter, you're pretty much organised then...good stuff! I've wrapped all DD's presents and have tonight started wrapping everybody elses. I only have my Dad's girlfriend to buy for now and I'm waiting until after christmas to get them in the sales as we don't go to my Dad's until New Year. Wish I'd have thought that about my Dad's presents and his gf's to children but never mind, I didn't really spend alot anyways.

I am ashamed to say I haven't put my tree up yet, I hate the job with a passion, I am so rubbish at it and it's only a fibre optic one lol I can never get the branches right, I'll have to get a friend round to help I think. My plan for tonight is to bring down all the decs and tree as that's half the battle!

I hope you enjoyed badminton, I haven't been for weeks, must get myself back into straight after christmas.

Are you still trying to lose weight? I've had to admit defeat and I'm on slimming tablets. Early days yet though so can't say if they're working. Although I hope so as I had a chinese buffet for lunch and I've had a !!!!!! day so I'm just about to have a couple of burgers and a whole mandarin cheesecake to myself  Oh well... I did ok for the first 2 weeks

  • Hi everyone,

I had a badminton league match last night, it was good and a lot of the games were close but we lost in the end 6-3. Nevermind, back to the drawing board. lol

Bowski I have still not put my tree up yet, need to get it done. I dont know whether I will get chance tonight either as my mate has just got engaged and a couple of us are going around to his house for a pizza and a few beers.

I am still trying to lose a bit of weight, but I just need to tone up really, as I am 6ft 3, with no muscles, apart from in my arms and legs, too much badminton. :rotfl:

Ever since I was on shifts a few weeks ago, I have eaten nothing but rubbish. However, I have not put any weight on because of badminton. lol

Anyway better get back to it

    Take care

  • Thanks Bowski,

Everybody in work got a nice £40 marks and spencers hamper today, it had mulled wine, christmas pudding and all sorts in it. Wooohooo.

I also put up a little christmas tree in work today, in our office. Starting to get into the spirit a bit now. It is also snowing here, quite heavily.

I am hoping tonight to complete a new SOA, and then list some challenges I am going to start in the new year, and finally update my totals at the bottom.
