Can't work out whether to put stuff on Ebay this weekend or not, as the traffic will be much higherWhat do you think, is it worth it?
I also caught my OH about to book something costing us £126 each just in the nick of time - I did a quick search and got it for £52 each :j so I'm going to count my savings as part of this total! Never let an excited boy near a computer with a credit card :rotfl:
Over halfway now *insert appropriate smileys please BB and Nyk*
Another £30 withdrawn out of an old account to add as well! :j
Now managed to squeeze some PPs out too so only another 10 to find hopefully for a voucher! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Do I need to keep checking in there to see if any appear! OH!! Just remembered it's Thursday - FREE BINGO - yuk!I reserve the right not to spend.

I got into proofreading when I was working as a university lecturer, then I set up my business 'T Rex English' when I left for maternity leave. It is my only job at the mo but I class myself as a full-time mum, which is why I class this money as extra. I wanted to be able to be at home all the time with my son to give him the best start in life so we budget to live on my hubbies wages and I do whatever else I can to earn some extra [within reason of course that sounded terrible haha!!]. Are you in a similar line of work?
Hi T Rex! (love the name!). I'm not, but I did my PhD in science, so I'm wondering if I could get into proofreading technical documents? Did you take a course or anything? Would love some advice on how to go about doing what you've done! :j :jWe got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

I didn't know about there being 2 scratchcards in one day other than Sunday, so I logged back in and won my other 10p! That's 70p today in total
Thanks for that. Is it just the St-M*nver one that does that?
Sophiesmum, I'm going to count in my £2 coins plus my sealed 'Phil the Pig' money to this as it hasn't been earmarked for anything else now that we're moving house. I'll still keep note of how many £2 coins I save, though, as I'd quite like to know exactly how much extra I have saved over the year. I'll also add in anything that I have left over from the 4k challenge on 31st December, as it would be carried over into next year anyway. Likewise, however, if I overspend, then I'll need to deduct it from here, but I am not planning on overspending and the housemove expenses will be coming out of the 'house fund'.
Off to add £42 to my total, as that's all I have of my £2 coins, the rest got spent on doing the garden & buying the greenhouse.
I've 'cashed in' most of my ip*ints in exchange for the 50ml J Lo Glow perfume, so decided that I'd do a (paid) search to see what it was worth and add that to my £1000 savings pot. Prices range from £14.99 plus P&P to £25.26 for the exact same bottle! Hard to believe there's such a huge spread! So, I'll put £14.99 into my savings and also reflect it in my cashback total, as I need that for my tax return.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Last night hubbie had another sports massage client so he kindly donated £25 to my pot [or maybe that should be OUR pot??] Will update my signature soon.
Mogwai, you would definitely be qualified. I am studying for my PhD at the mo too, although it's kind of hold currently as little DS keeps me too busy, I'll probably resume it next september - big job and I need to get the motivation back for it - at the mo my head is in a completely different place. Obviuosly when I was lecturing I was constantly marking and proofreading and I also taught English as a second language alongside my lecturing which helped with grammar etc. However, if you wanted to do a qualification the Maple Academy have a decent home study course for only £50 and they also provide you a number of different contacts, although I have found my website to be the best way to advertise, and via fre sites such as gumtree. PM me if you want anymore info0
