Thanks Nyk, for helping me find the free scratchcards!
Will give it a try when I get home as I can't access it at work
A bit extra to my total today! I refinanced my loan - paid some of it off with my (now non-existent!) savings so now have a smaller loan at a slightly lower rate, with lower monthly payments :j That means I've saved £202.33 as no payment this month, plus I'll save £28.46 from Nov and Dec payments which gives me £230.79 extra cash! I've added it to my total and I'm going to put it towards other debts so I'm not tempted to spend it!!!0 -
WELL DONE LONESTARSKY! :j Refinancing must be a bit like credit card shuffling to get onto lower rates and quicker pay-offs
I've just received £28.50 for the box of stuff I had advertised on G*mtree. I've deducted all my costs and added £20 to my total. The G*mtree ads are still tracking at 30p each, that's 15 listed so far, plus I'm sticking rigidly to the 2 x free scratchcards each day but not adding any of that to my total until I cash it in; slowly but surely I WILL make it to my £1000. I'm also tempted to list on eB*y this weekend as I really could do with shifting some stuff quickly but it takes so long to photograph & list. Hmm... need to think about it.
Update: Another 22p added from savings on postage of the above box. Payment fees were 75p and courier was only £7.53 (not £7.75 as expected)
I need to add a word about couriers - I checked several cashback sites and you can get up to 5% cashback or points for using services like Interpost, which divert to DHL and similar, however, when you click through, the cheapest service is £6.49 (for 5% in points) or £6.99 (for 5% cashback), whereas if you go via the parcel2go website without cashback, the starting price is £6.19, PLUS you have the option to email a friend a £1 off voucher and they do regular special offers. I got half price delivery when posting out the old laptop last weekIt really does pay to shop around even for a few pence extra savings.
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Just a quickie: re the 'free ebay listing' I originally posted - I'm not sure if peeps are picking up from my original that it is only free if you list at 99p or less.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0

Well I've "made" a whole £2.50 so far since Sat
- nectar points used (gained through surveys mostly). Must try and loose my ebay "cherry" this weekend or I'll never make it in this challenge. At least I've now found (a) a couple of things to sell and (b) my camera so I'm part of the way there!
I'm plodding away with surveys etc but they are a bit thin on the ground this week. One I thought I qualified for last week I haven't had a call back on so it looks like its not going to happen - boo - that would have been for £50 worth of vouchers. Ho hum... At least my "well known soft drink" 2 month long survey thing is still happening - 2 weeks down and 6 to go :rotfl: It'll get me ~£10 profit after I've got the stuff delivered whenever I need to. 1st order arrived today at work - I got such a slagging off for having fizzy drink delivered to work but I'm never at home when the courier is able to deliverMortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Hi taka: the relief when you finally conquer the ebay demon is great:D . Mind you, I've only got 3 on so far and having to face the same demons to do more:rolleyes: .(I have yet to ace the 'can't face getting a better phonedeal/internet shenanigins' demon, or the switch utilities or the matched betting ditto:o )I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0

:rotfl: The other demons such as looking for the best insurance deal and switching my TV licence DD to yearly also appear to be lurking

I find ebay a bit scary too taka, that's why I only put a couple of items on at a time! Plus it saves me having to carry a lot of parcels at once! Once you get going it's still a bit scary but addictive too...
I've added a lottery win 10.00 and an Amazon sale of 10.32 today bringing me to 383.70Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
