  • Just checked my license and for me it definitely is the same paying a monthly DD as paying it in full. So no unexpected 'income' to be made there.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I've just checked the TV licence website - I am apparently paying an extra £1.25/quarter for the privilige of paying quarterly so I'll be saving £5 a year by paying upfront when it is next due in Jan.

Hi Trex - thanks for the free listing tip! ..will def list the rest of my stuff this weekend then.

How did you get into proofreading? Do you do it professionally or ido you do it as a side thing?

Hiya Mogwai - I really can't take credit for the ebay news I heard it from many others on here before me!!
I got into proofreading when I was working as a university lecturer, then I set up my business 'T Rex English' when I left for maternity leave. It is my only job at the mo but I class myself as a full-time mum, which is why I class this money as extra. I wanted to be able to be at home all the time with my son to give him the best start in life so we budget to live on my hubbies wages and I do whatever else I can to earn some extra [within reason of course that sounded terrible haha!!]. Are you in a similar line of work?

How did you decide on which bookies to do becca?

i looked for the one with the lowest qualifying bet to start with! i wanted to start really small so that if i messed up, i wouldn't lose much!

now i'm working through the £25 offers and i'm sticking to UK bookies at the moment because they seem easier - most foreign bookies ask for ID before you can withdraw money and i can't be bothered with the hassle of that yet.

i've added another £9.75 to my total today - cashed in my lightspeed points, but lost 25p to paypal!

had some good news today though - my savings (which have been floating around in the mess which is kaupthing edge) will be in my bank by the end of the week, as confirmed by ing today :) *and* work has confirmed that they'll be honouring our christmas bonus this year  last year, they told us we wouldn't be getting it anymore, but they appear to have changed their minds. so that's an extra week's wages that i'll be able to add to my total before the end of the challenge :j

Brilliant little smiley, can I use it alongside my happy, screaming one? :D

Happy.gifI've received email confirming that payment of the £7+ is en route to my account from Ciao. I have now updated my long-forgotten membership by starting of with a couple of reviews, one last night and a second one tonight, and there's 20p been added to my account already, for my first 2 responses!
