Thanks Lilmiss, just got my first 25p!
    Also got 20p from Littlewoods.
Piquant, these are the two scratchcards I've done so far. I joined littlewoods through quidco (takeabreak isn't on any cashback).
BB, has your A&L tracked yet?

Brighton Belle, shall I add your name to post one as a trainee for 2009? :D

Bails, I've also signed up to the Takeabr*ak thing and hope they don't ask to see my passport because I don't have one. Only 10p on their scratchcard but 20p on the B*tlins one plus another £1.99 (£1.25 after P*ypal fees plus P&P) just landed in my account from a but-it-now sale, so today hasn't been totally rubbish. My G*mtree ads are still tracking, so I'm up to £4.20 for those so far and already have the proceeds from a sale included in my signature, so all isn't lost :)

Lillmissmup, I'll join the others in congratulating you - the day that last payment leaf and you became completely debt free must have given you a great feeling! Well done :)

Finally I have something to add, not doing very well so far:o

    £60 extra from taxman:D
£10 from selling some of my home made jams and chutneys to a friend for her xmas hampers:D

Brings me to the grand total of £121.25 - phew thought I was never going to make the first £100.

nothing more for me so far this week... but i have another £49.02 coming from matched betting over the next couple of days (i only count it when the profits are in my bank account), and that bingo win that i mentioned the other day - that should all be in my bank account within the next couple of days.

next week, i get paid, and my wages should have an extra £10 in it from the tax man, which i intend to add (as i've already added the £60 i got last month).

i definitely think matched betting is going to be the thing that gets me close to my £1000 goal. i've got quiet a bit of cashback waiting to pay out, but there's always a chance that it won't pay out, so i can't count on that. still plenty more matched betting to do before christmas :)

Hi and welcome to the challenge. If you read from post one through the thread, you'll see we started this challenge on 22nd September, next one will start on 1st January 2009. Feel free to join in posting and have a trial run for next year. You might also like to try the 'Earn £10 per day' challenge.
    Good Luck :)

YOu might want to change that date to Jan 1st Nyk:D
No bails - I'm afraid my A&L hasn't tracked yet. I really am trying to not mentally count it as I have this feeling it's a no goer. I've got all the account stuff though and that is going ok. So hopefully the £100 should be good but won't get paid til the end od Dec I think for me. I will keep the account as I am transfering all my regular monthly ddm's to them and as I do the accounts at work, I can get my pay put into which ever account I like, including splitting it between two. So I am going to have regular payments form A&L and have just enough in to cover them each month, & all other income in my current current account that will cover food and everything else.
Nyk - go on, go on, go on wid ya, put me down as a trainee:D
    EDIT: trainee totals so far:
3 bks on amazon (profit) 8.67
    M&S voucher £5
nectar card for energy suppliers £2.50
    mecca/tcb £31.23
    tax refund £60
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

  • Hey all
Thanks for everyone for reminding me about the extra taxback. My hubbie got £124 back in his wages as they did the whole lot in one go instead of splitting it. As all our money is shared we're doing this challenge together so I'll add that to my total in my signature.
Also spoke to SWALEC today and have managed to sort a cheaper price for gas and elec dd next year which is a massive relief as they had put them up massively. I haven't decided whether or not to count this as extra money yet will decide when I put my final 2009 budget together.
