Morning all,
not been about for a few days. DH is on the mend and I have been trying to catch up with all those tings I should have been doing while he was in hospital. Also, he has been attached to the computer so I haven't had a look in!!
Weather doesn't look too bad here but a bit cold, hopefull will be able to put the washing out.
Anyway, I'm off to catch up on the last few days threads (might be gone a while lol)
have a god day everyone, (((hugs))) for those who need them
Sam xx:)Do more of what makes you happy:)0 -
Morning all
((( Hugs ))) to Smoky, six months is no time at all, and you are coping so well. As for the weeing thing, I would tell him that if he wees on your carpet again, you will go and wee on his toys
Dried lots of washing yesterday, and I have just pegged out a load more. I tidied the conservatory and am using the settee as a drier, so don't need to use the TD for smalls :T
Popping to Asda, and going to try to get some tiny pearl beads for on DGDs fairy cross stitch.
Cheese and onion oatcakes for lunch (any Stokies out there will know what these are like )Going to the auction tonight, so probably a Chinese takeaway for dinner
Have a great Friday everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

Hope you enjoy your smoothies annie. We had strawberry, cherry, raspberry, apple and banana smoothies - and they were delicious  DD1 had maltesers hot chocolate with marshmallows in, as she doesn't do healthy

Good morning everyone,it's a beautiful day here.I can't believe this weather.
I was going to be very lazy today but after having my tooth fixed yesterday I woke with a raging headache at five this morning, and after OH made me a huge mug of tea I only went and spilt it all over the bed.So now I'm in the process of washing everything off my bed including the mattress cover.I would'nt mind but I only changed the bed the day before.Never mind as they say these things are sent to try us.Whoever said that wants shooting.I only hope it stays fine.
Everyone else seems very busy today.Sammyjig so pleased your OH is getting better.
charlies-mum cheese and onion oatcakes sound intriguing, where do you buy them from.Would'nt mind giving them a try as I love anything to do with oats.
To everyone else have a good day and enjoy the weather(if you have it that is)I'm off to put some more of my bedding in.
Take care xxx0 -
Morning all, up earlier this morning, had an upset tummy yesterday and still dont feel 100% this morning! DH managed to move pipework outside for Dyson coming on Monday to renew gas boiler so thats a good job done.
Managed to pre- order a nintendo wii, with wii fit for DD2 christmas present on Woolworths website for delivery by October 3rd. Her OH is paying for it but knowing how scarce they will be soon i offered to pay for it now and let him pay me back!! AM I MAD? Still if the worst happens we will all share it as DH has a sneaky fancy for one.
Had a quick pop in Netto yesterday and bought a rug for the living room £8.99 very reasonable and it looks lovely. As i was standing at the checkout i noticed a little single gas stove that runs on lighter gas, as store was so busy couldnt see a price but may be handy for some OS that are worried about impending powercuts! We will be okay as we have a campervan so we can use our gas cooker in there if need be.
Have finally managed to convert DD2 to this site, she was busy yesterday downloading template letters galore and sending them off to reclaim, bank charges, catalogue late payment charges, credit card charges, and ppi insurance. I hope she is successful as it is only 3 months since she lost the baby and is struggling to come to terms with everything at the moment.
Well i'm off to the shower now, have a good day everyone BSB xxx0 -
:hello: Good morning!
Smokybabe - sending you huge ((((((HUGS)))))
Penny_Pincher - hope you feel better today.
Sammyjig - glad your OH is getting on well!
Sunnyday - have a lovely holiday! And the same to Chrisca if you haven't already gone. We have just booked a week in a Haven caravan at Perranporth next month - goodness knows what the weather will be like (probably windy!), but DH has started to feel better (the diabetes meds must be kicking in) and is desperate to go away again now that he feels well enough to enjoy it!
Anniebooklover - hope you enjoy your course. We'll miss you but please post when you can!
AMIE - how nice to hear from you! We miss you!

(((((HUGS)))) to everyone in need of some.
I was up fairly early again today (I know some of you get up really early, but 7.30 is very early for me) because we are having some bulky rubbish collected by the Council, and after we'd gone to bed last night I remembered we hadn't put out the carpet offcuts we'd had in the hall for ages. As they were on the list of things we'd specified we wanted taken away, and they were included in the quoted price, I didn't want to miss having them taken so I got up to put them outside. The lady who came to give us the quote couldn't tell us what time the truck would be coming, so we had to put it all outside yesterday in case they turned up early this morning!
(They haven't:rolleyes: )
I went on the internet last night to see how much tickets for the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace would cost. I'd really love to go. They are £12 on the door for an adult, and concessions are £11    Is it just me, or is that insanely expensive? The concessionary prices are for "BA Students and senior citizens", and DH and I are are neither of those, though I expect they would give us concessionary prices as we're disabled. But DH would spend most of the time sitting down anyway - he'd only be coming at all because I can't cope with the journey on public transport. Tickets are a bit cheaper in advance - £10/£9 - but I don't want to buy them in advance, in case one or the other of us isn't well enought to go when the time comes  My sewing magazine usually has a draw for 10 pairs of complimentary tickets, but they're not doing it this year. I won some a few years ago but was then too ill to go :wall: Oh well, will have to have a think about it. The organisers will have to be careful or they'll find they've priced themselves out of the market!
Well, the WM has just finished so I must go and hang the washing out - seems to be a nice day again :j
Best wishes

Just caught up from yesterday!
Smokey - is is possible that dd1 is scared of going to the bathroom on his own, one of friends dd's was terrified for no apparent reason, she was fine during the day, but when in her room at night she wouldn't leave it. They never did find out why, but they did put a potty in her room for a while - she was 6 so not a toddler! It solved the problem of her wetting her bed though! Just a thought, you might already have tried it! Big hugs to you though, my heart bled for you as I read your post, I can't even begin to imagine how you feel xx
VickyA - glad you have support with the boy who is answering back, and it's nice to hear that his parents are being called in so quickly to sort it all out. My dd2 messed around terribly in maths for ages, and I mean months, before anyone told me about it, needless to say I have the power to do a lot more to her than the teachers could, and after being made to do extra maths with me for an hour every night until she caught up, oh how she loved having me as her personal tutor lol, and having various treats withdrawn, she soon bucked up and got on with the work.
Candygirl - good luck on the work front, and hope dd doesn't come over all unnecessary when she finds out how much the carpet costs!
Annie - I'm with you, I make mine get up early if they haven't done their chores, they usually get left with something each to do when I go off to w**k, and sometimes they're lucky that I don't wake them up to do it when I come home if I've tripped over stuff in the hall! Usually they do their chores, but sometimes they need reminding!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
